The Shaolin Monks have used trees since the ancient times to increase bone density and callus their hands. Upon striking the tree, there’s a force/vibration that transmits throughout the body. This causes mirco fractures that eventually heal and harden, making the bones come back 2 times stronger…. It’s the same thing that many Muy Thai fighters do when kicking mental so they have shins of steel… or when MMA fighter @jirkaprochazka punches the lumber 100 times to prepare for combat.. In football not only does this prepare you to deliver a blow but prevent injury upon brutal contact. Like everything else, with repetition you become used to the impact which will in turn STRENGTHEN the body as a whole… I’m not saying this will make you invincible as I’ve definitely been popped before but every edge counts. Would you try it? #reels #explore #athlete

Speed isn’t just fast feet… it’s physics. Force into the ground. Rapid turnover. A body loose enough to let it all happen. The athletes who run the fastest aren’t fighting their movement…they’ve repeated it so many times the body takes over. That’s not talent. That’s training. I’ve struggled with the relaxation aspect in the past, but with continues conscious reps I’ve seen a dramatic difference. What do you need the most? #reels #explore #athlete

Ankle and wrist mobility sustain balance, athletic performance, and longevity. These joints are what allow you to interact with the world…from grabbing a glass of water to running up a flight of stairs. Training them through full ranges of motion with resistance builds strength, control, and resilience. Moving one side clockwise while the other moves counter-clockwise requires intense focus and present-moment awareness. It challenges the brain to coordinate opposing patterns, stimulating neuroplastic adaptation and strengthening the neural pathways responsible for coordination and movement control. Over time, this helps develop reaction speed, coordination under chaos, and body control when movements aren’t perfectly symmetrical. This translates directly to sport. The more present you are in movement, the easier it becomes to access flow state, a concept explored by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi in his research on peak performance. And the more fully these joints can move, the more efficiently your body can express its athletic potential. #reels #explore #athlete

Good 4 The Body. Good 4 The Soul. 💛 We’re back March 28 with another 4YOG community workout with @4infinitelife — a session designed to push the body, calm the mind, and reconnect through movement. We’ll start with a guided dynamic warmup, move into our P.I.G. full-body workout, and close with a mindful cooldown supported by sound bowls for a full reset. Expect breathwork, sweat, intention setting, and good energy all around. No egos. No pressure. Just movement and community. 📅 March 28 ⏰ 10–11 AM (arrive 9:45) 💛 Donation-based Register at the link in bio. Bring a mat, water, and towel — and a friend. Because it’s always Good 4 The Body, Good 4 The Soul. #4YourOwnGood #4YOG #Good4TheBody #Good4TheSoul #DallasWellness DallasFitness MoveWithPurpose WellnessCommunity
