A number of the Instagram gamer community is participating in a new hashtag challenge, #SpringIntoBoardGames. We will be posting daily for several weeks with spring related themes. The theme this week is CANDY, suggested by @4minimeeples.

Marshmallows count as candy, right? Well, they go with chocolate when you make s’mores, which you might do when we play SUMMER CAMP, by Buffalo Games, a fun, light deckbuilding game.

It's the first day of #springintoboardgames and the theme is CANDY! Chosen by @4minimeeples

We wouldn't blame you for mistaking the planets from Last Light by @greyfoxgames for gobstoppers or bubblegum! They look so tasty!

What other games do you think have components that look good enough to eat?

🐾🍫 Spring + sweets = my kind of day! 🍫🐾

To celebrate the new season, I’m joining in on #springintoboardgames hosted by @bordercityboardgamer 🌸
Today’s theme is CANDY, picked by @4minimeeples — and oh boy, did we make an obvious choice…

🍫 Chocolate Factory 🍬

Now listen… I have some serious feelings about this. As a proud chocolate lab, I feel personally victimized by the whole “dogs can’t have chocolate” rule. Like… excuse me?? 😤

BUT I will admit — this game is paws-itively fun. You get to run your own chocolate factory, upgrade machines, hire workers, and crank out the fanciest treats for shops and big orders. It’s basically a dream job… if only I could sneak a taste.

The best part? The player board is a functioning conveyor belt that moves the realistic-looking chocolate pieces through the factory!

This delicious chocolaty euro is a shelf staple at our house — even if I’m just supervising from a very chocolate-deprived distance.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here… pretending my treats are truffles. 🐶✨

Spring into Board Games 2026, Day 1: Candy
Today’s pick: 3, 2, 1 Piñata by @pineappbillgames
With the candy theme and bright playful look, this one was an easy choice for day 1. It felt like the perfect sweet start to Spring into Board Games!
Also featuring my little duck who will be joining me throughout this event!
What’s your favorite candy themed game?
