Fall in here!

Let’s meet at the Austin’s most haunted bar and make our way to Pease Park! Established in 1916, The Tavern has been a longtime favorite among Austinites.

This time, we’re starting a little earlier so we can enjoy the beautiful afternoon sunshine before the colder weather arrives.

Pease Park is one of Austin’s most iconic parks and still holds so much of the city’s original spirit. From the annual Eeyore’s Birthday Party to its peaceful green spaces, it’s a beautiful place to slow down and enjoy the afternoon.

We can hang out on the grass, have a little picnic, play some games, or simply wander around and take photos together.

Bring your camera, a blanket if you like, and come enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon with us! 🍁

School Picture Day

At magic milk, we believe in second chances. That is why we decided to give everyone a second chance at one of the most pivotal moments of your life; middle school picture day. Most of us have experinced tramatic school photo days with sweaty armpits, braces, bad haircuts, and awkward smiles. And although we cannot change the past (yet), we can embrace the future and re-take our school pictures with all of our best homies.

That is why we booked out the roller rink, got some amazing photographers to join, and took picture day to another level. It is likely that most of these photos end up printed on expensive designer shirts and eventually will serve as inspiration for sculptors as they create statues out of stone with historical quotes underneath them.

Cheers to second chances, dope art, roller skating, and stone statues that will explain to future civilizations why capturing strange poses on film with wierd friends is always a good idea.

Oh, and we will post the top portraits tomorrow for everyone to vote on. Best photo will win a cash prize and free magic milk.

Big props to the team @magicmilkcompany and @austinphotowalkers , @danieljtrevino , @hanminpaek , @cameronmcalderon , and @pins.and.wheels.at.playland for putting in the work and allowing this awesome experience to happen.

More rad in-person events coming soon. Keep an eye on the magic milk page.

If you were wondering, what is this? magic milk is the best tasting colostrum. Made with grass-fed, New Zealand colostrum, collagen, and organic cacao. Supports your body from the inside-out. Cheers 🥛

Some portraits from the past month. Portraits are still one of my weaknesses, but I like to think I’m making some progress.

Photos 1-6 were taken with the Godox iM30Pro flash on auto mode, which I’ve been impressed with and totally recommend it if you’re looking to get a flash for your old film camera.

📷: Minolta X-570 w/ 35mm f/2.8, Canon Rebel G w/ 50mm f/1.4 & 40mm f/2.8, Sony A7cii w/ 40mm f/2.5 G, and Fujica GW690
🎞️: Kodacolor 200, EktaColor (160 & 800), Ilford HP5+, Portra 400, and Kodak Gold

Last weekend, we interviewed people on what they would want to bring back from the 90’s at @magicmilkcompany & @austinphotowalkers Creative Community Meetup at Pins and Wheels at Playland in Austin Texas.

What’s one thing you would want to bring back from the 90’s if you could?

the creative community really showed up last night for @magicmilkcompany @austinphotowalkers creative community meetup at @pins.and.wheels.at.playland!

we were transported back to the 90s with skating, yearbook photos, chocolate milk, camcorders, walkmans, VHS tapes, magazines, disposable cameras, coloring (@downtoearthcoloringclub), polaroids, and the good vibes all around.

if you missed out, don’t worry- we have more exciting events in the works… this is just the beginning.

Hello Georgetown!!

This September we are going to meet and walk around Georgetown!

Quick history before we start. Georgetown was founded in 1848, and its historic downtown has remained the heart of the city for generations.

As we walk, look beyond the obvious. Photograph the old buildings, signs, details, and everyday moments. Things come and go, so let’s document what’s here today.
