IT'S ALMOST HALLOWEEN and we have your plans. An immersive gala experience built on old money, family secrets, and a room full of people who all had a reason. The Johnson Legacy Foundation has shaped Harlem for three generations. Tonight was supposed to be a celebration. An announcement. A passing of the torch. Instead, the woman at the center of it all is dead before the champagne is poured, and everyone in this room is a suspect. Masks on. Motives hidden. Signature cocktail included with every ticket 🥂 #livemusic #nycthingstodo #nyc #harlem #silvana

Saturday delivered. 🌳🥔 Touch Grass ran six hours on the Bronx Shore. Games, music, food, nothing at the door, every age welcome. Big thank you to @foldspotatochips for backing the day. They had bags moving across that field from the opening game straight through to the last record. Support like this from an independent brand what keeps community programming open to everyone. Follow them and grab a bag next time you see one. And to everyone who came out, played, ate, and stayed until the very end, thank you. This doesn’t happen without you. 🤝 #touchgrass #folds #randallsisland #bronxevents #cookout

Nobody paid to eat on Saturday. 🌳🍔 Touch Grass held the Bronx Shore for six hours. Games, Music, Food, no cover, all ages. Big thank you to @7thstreetburgernyc for making that possible. They ran the grill for the entire day and put a burger in the hand of everybody who came through. Partners who invest in the community events make days like this happen. Their newest Bronx location is on Third Ave. Pull up on them. And thank you to everyone who came out, played, ate, and stayed until breakdown. This only works because of you. 🤝 #touchgrass #7thstreetburger #randallsisland #bronxevents #outside

A free day in the park with nothing left behind. 🌳💧 Thank you @pathwater for backing Touch Grass. They handled water for the entire six hours, and because every bottle is aluminum and refillable, the field looked the same when we left as when we got there. Their mission is ending single use plastic, so sponsoring a free day in a public park is the same work they already do. Refill it, keep it, carry it. Thank you to every person who came through. Different boroughs, different ages, one field, and the energy held from one o’clock to seven. That is the reason we build these days. Give them a follow. More coming soon. 🤝 #touchgrass #pathwater #randallsisland #publicparks #community

The answer is discipline, community, consistency. We already know the problem. I’ve been off social medias for a while, putting my nose to the grindstone. And all I have to say is this. Get familiar with the local communities, businesses and leaders I’ve tagged. It can be as easy as a share, like or follow. And if you wanna put boots on the ground, come to literally any event I host and I’ll put you in touch with the people you want to be in community with. If you want to support artists you can buy my music or anything from @innuism @michelebluyoga @rokmilfitness and a host of other people in my network. If you’re feeling stuck and you don’t know what your next step toward progress should be. I am here. And I’m willing to be a resource. Reach out.
