Up at 3am? Same.

My best ideas show up when the world goes quiet, so I stay up and ride the wave.

Fellow creative night owls, you're not alone.

You don't have to follow anyone else's schedule. Create when you feel most alive.

Make as much as you can.

And never be afraid to be yourself.

🎧 Artist Spotlight: 53 Thieves @53thieves

53 Thieves is a transatlantic quartet between New York and London, with two singers and two producers, blending hip-hop, R&B, and disco with an electronic edge. One of my top artists I’d love to see live :)

Fun fact: Four members live in four separate parts of the world, and most of their music was released without the group ever being in the same room.

Music: "three a.m." by 53 Thieves, from the EP after hours (2020). All credits to the artist.

53 Thieves

a reminder that therapy (while beautiful and transformative) can only "heal" so much in a colonial, capitalist, white supremacist war economy. music has always been ts that keeps me going, and has ALWAYS been used to uphold beauty and humanness through thousands of years of violent suppression.

This was probably my favorite hike of the year. 7 miles total from mutiple trails at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: Turptentine trail, Deer Track Trail, Lake Campbell Bike Trail, and Gopher Tortoise Trail. This was a blast!
