This was one of the videos that started it all… in October 2021 someone in Rhode Island stumbled upon a flying test rehearsal of Mary flying down the street… this grainy video is like an old timey video of Bigfoot.

It’s insignificant but I remember the feeling I got when I saw this video. It was the first time we’d seen the Sanderson Sisters fly for 30 years, and although I didn’t know at the time Mary was riding Shark Broomies, it was still amazing to see this out in the wild!

Here’s a roundup of all the latest news and comments on “Hocus Pocus 3” to end Halloween week.

Recently we’ve had exciting comments from stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Thora Birch and from creator, writer and producer David Kirschner! Check it out!

We’ve all seen those retro nostalgic trailers for the original “Hocus Pocus” (with that MOVIE TRAILER VOICE man) - but what if “Hocus Pocus 2” had the same retro trailer? I tried editing my own version of a nostalgic, retro, 90s trailer for the sequel… enjoy!

Here’s a little behind the scenes clip of Bette Midler discussing how dance orientated and stylised things were on “Hocus Pocus” - with director Kenny Ortega counting movements on the beat. This is very evident in the film, with the witches constantly moving and sort of dancing around each other in every scene.

I feel like this was slightly replicated in the sequel with Anne Fletcher directing and adding a “dancerly” feel to the film.

Kathy Najimy and Bette Midler discussed their hopes that fans will appreciate and enjoy the many Easter eggs that were dropped in “Hocus Pocus 2” during an interview to promote the film.
In the interview Bette says something that I totally agree with, she says she hopes the fans enjoy seeing the Sanderson Sisters getting up to something new - rather than having to watch them do the same thing year after year (in rewatching the original “Hocus Pocus”). And I think this is the same for a future “Hocus Pocus 3” - we just want more Sanderson Sister fun.

Kathy also praises director Anne Fletcher for putting the “nuggets” in the film and preserving the history of the original film.

🍿Last Halloween I took myself to the cinema to see the re-release of “Hocus Pocus”, and I made the most Millennial Reel of my day out… enjoy!

It was so so good seeing it on the big screen again, and reignited my love of Hocus Pocus. I never saw it in the cinema back in 1993, but now I’ve seen it three times in the cinema in recent years, and it is still as magical!

🎬 I absolutely love this behind the scenes shot of “Hocus Pocus 2” showing the cracked ground before the Sanderson Sisters’ arrival was a practical effect! This forbidden forest set was stunning! 🤩
