I still can’t believe we did it.

90 days ago, this was just a crazy idea. Build a rally-inspired 1964 Volkswagen Beetle in my garage, at home, with no real experience doing something on this scale. There were plenty of moments where I questioned if we’d make it. Late nights, long weekends, unexpected setbacks, parts delays, and countless lessons learned along the way.

But somehow… we did it.

I am beyond grateful for every single person who supported this journey. To all of you who followed along online, commented, shared posts, sent messages of encouragement, and cheered us on from day one — thank you. You helped keep me motivated when things got tough.

To my friends who showed up after work, on weekends, and late at night when you absolutely didn’t have to — thank you. This build became so much bigger than a car. It became about friendships, memories, and proving what’s possible when people come together.

A huge thank you to Fish, Bryson, and the entire team at Doug’s Buggs & Bunnys for always coming through when I needed help. To Meno at V-Dubs Upholstery for bringing the interior vision to life. To Sam and the team at Jbugs for supporting the build. To EMPI for helping make it possible to get this car finished in time for their 70th Anniversary Open House and Tom “even though we don’t have the pedals in you have supported all my cars and can’t wait to get your awesome pedal kit in the ride !

Most importantly, thank you to my wife Dana. For putting up with the endless nights in the garage, the parts scattered everywhere, the stress, the excitement, and this completely insane idea to build a car at home in only 90 days. None of this would have happened without your patience, support, and belief in me.

This car may have started as a project, but it became a journey I’ll never forget.
