September 28 was an incredible day of learning, meeting, and connecting with like-minded peers. Thank you to this wonderful emerging leaders cohort, who not only brought our program to life with their knowledge and brilliant selves, but who also made this program a safe space for everyone involved with their care and kindness (very demure, very mindful 🙂‍↕️🫶).

And a huge thank you to our wonderful facilitators, Kareen Wong and Tanvi Bhatia, and our amazing speakers / seeders, Shristi Uprety, Chiara Lucchetta, and Winnie Tam, who took time out of their busy schedules (not to mention doing this on a weekend!!) to facilitate and hold space for the conversations we had planned for our cohort. 💖

Future Arts would not have been able to do any of this without all of you!

We’ve also tagged our cohort, so go follow these amazing leaders and creatives, and witness for yourself the beautiful spaces and works they’ll create. 💖

@sacredstains I am a life long visual artist who has recently found an ancestral connection with henna as a medium. I love doing designs that are mixed with modern and traditional motifs. Henna is a very spiritually healing practice for people of many different cultures (for me it is Hinduism). I love teaching people about the origins of henna.

As a fat femme, I find that I make most of my pieces sized for larger bodies
