Take 2 … due to wrong month in my last post! 😩 If you’ve been around SVG SUN for a while, you might recognize this one. We’ve done it before. It just didn’t have a name. Well… now it does. 😈 Meet THE ESCALATOR. And if you remember it from last time, you probably understand exactly why. 😂 Optional plates/weighted vest if you’re looking to collect some extra Savage points. Same deal as always - modify what you need to, work at your pace, and come do hard things with good people. 📍 Schuylerville HS Track 🗓 Sunday 9/27 ⏰ 9 AM Workout inspo: Winnie’s World . . . #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #CommunityFitness #StrengthForLongevity

A workout is easy to plan. Getting people to show up, connect, come back, bring a friend and become part of something? That’s the good stuff. Savage Sunday started with workouts. Somewhere along the way, it became a community. And that will always be my favorite part. . . . #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #CommunityStrong #SaratogaSpringsNY #BuiltOnBetter

One more Savage Sunday before school is back in session and we’re making it a partner workout. 👊 No partner? No problem. Come solo and we’ll pair you up. If the numbers call for it, teams of 3 work too. This is our last chance to take over the track before school starts. Everything is modifiable. Come ready to move, have some fun and get some work done. 📍 Schuylerville High School Track 🗓️ Sunday, August 30 🕘 9:00 AM ☕ And because workouts are better when they end with coffee, we’re heading to Kickstart afterward. Join us! Save it. Share it. Bring someone with you or just show up. We’ve got you. . . . #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #PartnerWorkout #CommunityStrong #SaratogaSpringsNY

A Savage Sunday favorite is making its return. The ½ Century is back this Sunday. The forecast may be calling for rain, but Savage Sunday is rain or shine. If conditions get a little soggy, we’ll make modifications on the fly and keep the workout moving. Everything is always modifiable, so whether it’s your first Savage Sunday or you’ve been with us since day one, come join us. 📍 Schuylerville High School Track 🕘 Sunday | 9:00 AM Tag a friend, save this post, and we’ll see you Sunday. 💪 . . . #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #DoHardThings #CommunityStrong #SaratogaSpringsNY

The best recruiting starts before the interview. Companies have long built relationships with students in engineering and other specialized programs before graduation. Contractors are beginning to take a similar approach with wrestlers and other industrial athletes. The goal is not simply to “wine and dine” a candidate. It is to help them understand the work, including the difficult parts. Michael Nelson of the Blue Collar Startup Podcast and Scotti Sentes of the Wrestlers in Business Network sit down to discuss wrestlers in the trades. Scotti encourages employers to address the elephants in the room early. Be honest about the demands. Be clear about the opportunity. Show candidates what the work requires and what it can offer in return. That kind of transparency builds stronger relationships and helps companies find people who are prepared for the reality of the role. Wrestlers are built to do tough things. Their coaches can often speak to qualities a résumé cannot fully capture: work ethic, resilience, loyalty, and how they respond under pressure. Industry knowledge can be taught. The drive to show up, learn, and figure it out is harder to find. Search The Blue Collar Startup Podcast Episode 135 to hear the whole conversation. #CatamountConsulting #WrestlersInBusinessNetwork #WIBN #BlueCollarStartup #IndustrialAthlete #SkilledTrades #WorkforceDevelopment #Recruiting #ConstructionCareers #PeopleFirst

34 people. Perfect weather. An incredible morning. 🙌 Every Savage Sunday is a little bit of a surprise. I never know exactly who’s going to show up, but every time I’m reminded why we keep doing this. Today’s crew included: 🏃 A group that made the trip from Kingston, NY 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Multiple families crushing it together 🙌 At least 4 first-timers 💪 34 people willing to challenge themselves on a Sunday morning A huge thank you to @thearmorysc for the collab! The Devil’s Ladder challenged everyone from start to finish. ❤️ That’s what makes this community so special. Different ages. Different fitness levels. Different stories. One community. Thank you to everyone who showed up, worked hard, encouraged others, and made today one to remember. 📅 Next Savage Sunday: August 9 . . . #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #TheArmory #CommunityStrong #BuiltOnBetter

Some workouts test your fitness. Some test your attitude. Savage Sunday usually tests both. The next 3 dates are officially locked in. Workouts will be posted one week in advance. You don’t need to be the fittest person there. You just need to be willing to show up and start. Save the dates. Forward this to somebody who should come with you. 💪 . . . #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #DoHardThings #SaratogaSpringsNY #CommunityStrong

Next Sunday’s workout: 6 total 400m runs 100 squats 15 burpees 200m walking lunges 50 sit ups 50 reverse lunges This one is built around continuous movement, repeated running efforts, and accumulating leg fatigue. A simple structure with enough volume to test pacing, endurance, and recovery between efforts. 📍 Schuylerville High School Track 🕘 Sunday, May 17th at 9AM Share this with a friend and make sure they show up!! . . . #SVGSUN #SaratogaSprings #TrackWorkout #RuckCommunity #FunctionalFitness

A little late posting this… but this moment deserves to be shared. Our final SVG SUN gathering of 2025 - pizza at @9mileseastfarm with some of the best peeps I know. 🍕 It’s been incredible to watch this community grow beyond the workouts… to real connection, encouragement, and being there - on Sundays and beyond. Thanks to everyone who’s been part of this season. 2026 is already on my mind and I can’t wait to see what we take on together next. #SVGSUN #SavageSunday #SaratogaSpringsNY #FitnessCommunity #DoHardThings
