We’re honored to be featured in the Fall 2026 issue of Refined Magazine.

“The Modern Gentleman” tells the story behind SAMSON, from the family history that inspired the shop to the carefully collected pieces, antiques, and details that have shaped the Emporium over the years. It captures something we’ve always believed: getting dressed well should still feel personal, enjoyable, and distinctly your own.

For eleven years, we’ve been fortunate to call the Short North home and to welcome so many of you through our doors. Seeing the story of SAMSON told across these pages is something we’re very proud of.

Thank you @614Magazine and @614Refined for the beautiful feature, and @eg_clark for capturing SAMSON so exceptionally well.

I took my little girl grocery shopping today and she got so excited over the magazines at the checkout. “Mummy mummy you have LOTS of magazines.” And it’s true, for as long as I can remember I have stacks and stacks of zines piled around my room and office. Andy Warhol once said “fashion is more art than art is.” And within a fashion magazine showcasing the art of the fashion is even more art - the prop styling and wardrobe styling and set styling and creative direction and of course the artistry of the photographer. Isabelle was so over the moon when I said she could have a Highlights children’s magazine. Her first of many if she follows in her mumma’s inspiration hoarding ways.
When we got home from the shops I opened my mailbox and saw a very glam version of myself staring back. Izzy thought it was the coolest thing ever that her mum is on the cover of @614refined. I agree.

What an honor. Thank you @614refined for finding my story creating @st._rose compelling to put on the cover of this beautiful issue. @savjjo your words telling my story honestly brought me to tears. Entrepreneurship can be a lonely road - you ride the highs and lows quietly and this year in particular has been a roller coaster. I love having you as a muse for French Poetry.

To my little girl and her brother I hope this is a reminder to dream big, work hard, and if you can make the world a little more beautiful in the process it’ll be worth everything you risked and sacrificed along the way.

A first-floor studio is now available for rent at 24 Lincoln St. Art Studios & Gallery. Filled with natural light from its large front windows, this charming space is located in the historic Little Blue House by Sharon Weiss Gallery in the heart of the Short North Arts District. Our studios were recently featured in Refined magazine.

These studios were created to give women artists a place to create, connect, and become part of a supportive art community. We’re looking for an artist with fresh ideas who is excited to help bring women together through paint-outs, artist demonstrations, and creative gatherings.
