I am extremely grateful and blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Western Colorado University!

I want to first thank my family for the sacrifices they have made for me and their constant support. Next I want to thank all my teammates at McNeil. Each one of you guys have inspired me work harder and y’all have basically become family to me. And also to @mcneilhsband band for teaching me discipline and for the countless memories that I will never forget.

I’d also like to thank all my coaches. Coach Wooten and Coach Vasquez at McNeil, and Coach Mathis @620running for all the knowledge y’all have installed in me that has helped me grow as both a person and athlete.

Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Michel and Coach Cleveland @westerntrack for giving me this amazing opportunity. I’m super excited to compete and learn at one of the best Division 2 programs in the nation. Sko Neers!

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Hard to believe this was my last XC season as a Vandegrift Viper. Through the highs and lows, I’ve been blessed to have the best teammates and coaches! Leading this young team to Nike Cross Nationals again was a goal of mine that many did not see as possible, especially with all the talented teams and runners in the South Region. I’m incredibly proud of the way my teammates put in the work to secure our spot at Nationals and to make that dream a reality! NXN is an incredible experience and always a battle. Although a twisted ankle mid-race at NXN kept me from the finish I hoped for, I’m so thankful to God for the memories made, and the people and friends running and representing VXC has brought me. I will never forget my time leading this team and being a Vandegrift Viper!
