Tokyo-based designer Yoon Myat Su Lin presents Red Bride, a dress project developed in the first year of study at ESMOD Tokyo. The piece tells the story of a woman breaking free from the expectations placed upon her. Its balloon-shaped silhouette acts as a cage, enclosing the bride within its structure. As she opens it, the cage breaks apart and unfolds into dramatic red flares, turning confinement into release. She breaks the cage. She blooms. She becomes free.
