713 MAGAZINE PRESENTS: NOTHING CAN EXIST ALONE

A 713 Gallery Exhibition

nothing exists entirely on its own.
light needs darkness.
presence creates absence.
memory depends on forgetting.
everything is defined by something beyond itself.

Here is the progress video, now complete. It’s remarkable to see my style change and evolve. Watching Buford transform from a street tag into a humanoid character that represents everyday heroes is truly special to me.

New Study: Kids With Fire, No Power.

Its a hard truth but the reference photos for the works are real documented photos of child soldiers. The world is a fucked up place and we need to change it for us all. We all have our part and need to act.

Raw, visceral, and unapologetic. Bold colors, distorted figures, and urgent brushstrokes define the unmistakable voice of Justin Rene DeLeon. Working in the spirit of what he calls Neo-Punk-Expressionism, his practice rejects detachment and minimal restraint, instead confronting viewers with unfiltered intensity and emotional immediacy. Phrases such as “I wanna lay down like GOD DID…” and “CHOP SUEY” tear across the paper like declarations, underscoring his commitment to direct, unflinching expression.

DeLeon’s work is marked by a fearless use of symbolic language—skeletal figures, hearts, and text fragments woven into dense, layered visual narratives. This eclectic symbolism has become his trademark, anchoring his singular place in contemporary art. Each piece is both personal and universal, a reflection of survival, culture, and defiance.

Neo-Punk-Expressionism is not quiet—it is urgent, confrontational, and alive. DeLeon’s style demands dialogue, carving out his own lane where raw immediacy collides with symbolic depth.

Does he have a saint? Does he have a savior?

Behind the Process: Creating with @calvinpriice and @dennisc107

Collaborating with @calvinpriice and @dennisc107 was one of the most meaningful creative experiences of my life. The energy in the room was electric—filled with joy, trust, and an incredible sense of freedom. It became a safe haven for expression, where music and visual art flowed side by side. One half of the space was for sound, the other for paint—but together, the room embodied the full spectrum of art. It mirrored the way my mind naturally works: “One side music, the other side painting.”

At times, I found myself working on multiple projects simultaneously. Calvin would often laugh and say he’d seen me working on seven things at once. That kind of creative chaos was freeing—it allowed me to be fully present, spontaneous, and immersed in the process. With Calvin’s guidance as both a musician and engineer, my ideas were not only heard but refined. He brought structure to my spontaneity, helping shape raw inspiration into polished pieces.

I often worked barefoot—something that kept me grounded and spiritually connected to my roots and ancestors. What made this experience even more powerful was the unwavering support I received. There was no judgment, only encouragement and room to grow.

I want to take a moment to recognize and thank a few key individuals who witnessed the process and helped push the vision forward:
@kingxcarta
@auraroshi
@oliviatorres1013
@713mag
—and many more who offered inspiration, love, and belief along the way.

To everyone reading this: thank you. Thank you for being part of the journey. Your support is what makes moments like this possible.

With love and gratitude,
Justin Rene DeLeon & Olivia Anne Torres
“Je T’aime” is almost here—made with love, for you.

Thoughts That Could Break The Sky

A 713 Gallery Exhibition

From June 1–30, 713 Gallery presents Thoughts That Could Break The Sky — a collection of work shaped by pressure, stillness, and the weight of thinking too much. These are pieces that stretch the mind until something gives. Until it cracks open.

This show brings together @ojihaynes , @lucas.elias33 , @_hunter , @vipyisa , and @brayanramales , @dominescu , and @leo.luccioni — 7 artists working through personal unrest, quiet intensity, and internal tension. Through painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, Thoughts That Could Break The Sky traces what it feels like to carry too much thought, and still choose to create.

All works will be viewable online at sevenonethreemag.com starting June 1st.

A Place Kept Quiet

A 713 Gallery Exhibition

From May 1–30, 713 Gallery invites you into A Place Kept Quiet — a curated collection of works made by artists who aren’t interested in fitting in. Instead, they carve out new spaces with too much time, too many feelings, and a refreshing disregard for what’s considered “normal.”

This exhibition brings together @hmacsauz , @santa___helena , @gabrielrozzell , @amaniheywood , and @realurbanartistry — five creators each exploring personal, emotional, and sometimes chaotic corners of their worlds. Through painting, sculpture, and mixed media, A Place Kept Quiet captures the beautifully messy process of creating without limits.

All works will be viewable online at sevenonethreemag.com May 1st!
