🎏 As Koinobori Day approaches, I’m whisked back to our 2019 collaboration with @yuliasko.ph , @ms_cucumber, and @okunomiwa at Ultrasupernew gallery. Inspired by Miwa Okuno’s captivating dance, my line drawings transformed into Yulia’s mesmerizing wired sculptures. It was an immersive exhibition at @ultrasupernewjp that still dances in my memories. 🖼️✨ #Throwback #ArtCollaboration #koinobori #artexhibition #sculpture_art #creativecollaboration #linedrawing #wiredsculpture #tokyoartscene #artistsoninstagram

Experimental calligraphy with @mirohidoe
After photographing dancers for many years I started noticing dance in other creative processes, calligraphy is one of them. The movement of master's brush is mesmerizing.

Some of the images will be shown in the new exhibition end of March as a part of @72stepsproject
Follow the project page to get more details!

Behind the drawings...
This was a shooting session organized in a bamboo forest.
⠀⠀
Apart from drawing I also designed the tapestry that reminds you of clouds and rain. It was made back in 2017 as a part of a big installation for @iloveplaytime Tokyo.
Perfect images for the rainy season!

I have always been lucky to be surrounded by many talented people. At some point, I started to draw them and now I have tons of sketches depicting creative people making art.
⠀⠀
And so the project with the eponymous name was born, presenting artists of various disciplines at work.
I would like to start this project with a drawing of choreographer @okunomiwa performing for @72stepsproject in a mysterious Japanese bamboo forest. #peoplemakingart #japanesechoreographer #moderndance #bambooforest #inkbrush #inkdrawing #suibokuga #japanesedancer #butohdancer #artcollective #dancecommunity #dancerlife #illustration
