🔥 SEASON OPENER 🔥

Cypress Ranch and Hightower kick off the new season in a big-time matchup. The Mustangs are coming off a 10-3 (7-0) season, while the Hurricanes finished 7-4 (5-2) and enter this year with something to prove.

Both teams return key players, welcome new faces, and are looking to make an early statement.

Who starts the season 1-0? 👀🏈

🔥 OPENING NIGHT — WEEK 1 🔥

Cypress Woods and Katy Jordan open the 2026 season looking to start strong. Cypress Woods is coming off a 4-6 (1-6) season and will look to bounce back after missing the postseason, while Jordan finished 9-4 (6-2) and made a run to the third round of the playoffs.

New season, new opportunity. Who comes out on top Thursday night? 👀🏈

🔥 WEEK 1 — THURSDAY NIGHT 🔥

Stratford and Tomball open the season in a matchup between two teams looking to build off playoff appearances. Stratford finished 5-7 (4-3) last year, placing fourth in district before falling in the second round. Tomball went 9-3 (6-2), finished third in district, and also saw its season end in the second round.

Both teams know what it takes to reach the postseason — now it’s about starting 2026 with a statement. 👀🏈

🔥 WEEK 1 — THURSDAY NIGHT 🔥

Bellaire and Austin open the season with plenty to prove. Bellaire is coming off a 6-5 (4-2) season, finishing third in district before a first-round playoff exit.

Austin finished 2-8 (2-5) and missed the postseason, but a new era begins under former Cypress Springs coach Chris Wilson, who makes his head coaching debut tonight.

Can Bellaire build off last season, or will Austin start the Wilson era with a statement? 👀🏈

🔥 WEEK 1 — THURSDAY NIGHT 🔥

Dekaney and Fulshear kick off the season in a matchup between two teams looking to take the next step. Dekaney finished 3-7 (3-4) last year, narrowly missing the playoffs with a fifth-place district finish.

Fulshear went 7-4 (5-1), finished second in district, and reached the postseason before being eliminated in the first round.

Can Dekaney break through, or will Fulshear start 2026 with a win? 👀🏈

🐎 2026 TEAM PREVIEW: MEMORIAL MUSTANGS

Memorial enters the 2026 season with one goal in mind: bring another district championship home, this time in District 20-6A.

The Mustangs are coming off a District 17-6A championship and now enter a new district where they’ll immediately face another challenging road to the top. Despite the move, we have Memorial projected to finish #1 and claim the District 20-6A championship.

Memorial returns an experienced group of key players including Myles Goebel, Grant Sperandio, Conrad Bennett, Dillion Norris, Paxton Domingues, Parker Welty, Carson Moerer, Ford Bennett, Colton Bash, Jack Wang, Jacob Espinoza, Daniel Bidros, Louis Baay, Jackson Van Wie, and Evan Mauritzen.

That returning experience could be huge for a team adjusting to an entirely new district. The Mustangs already know what it takes to win a championship, and they’ll look to bring that same mentality into 20-6A.

But winning another title won’t come easy.

Lamar enters as the defending 18-6A champion, setting up what could become one of the biggest battles for the top spot in the district. With several other teams looking to make their own push, Memorial will have a target on its back from the beginning.

Still, until someone proves otherwise, we’re riding with the Mustangs.

Can Memorial conquer a new district, hold off Lamar and the rest of 20-6A, and claim back-to-back district championships? 👀🏆

🤠 2026 TEAM PREVIEW: LAMAR TEXANS

Lamar enters the 2026 season with championship expectations as the Texans make the move into District 20-6A.

Coming off a District 18-6A championship last season, Lamar has already proven it can finish at the top. Now, the Texans enter a new district looking to show that their success can carry over against a different group of opponents.

We have Lamar projected to finish second in District 20-6A, but make no mistake — the Texans are a legitimate threat to win the entire district.

Lamar returns a loaded and experienced group featuring Jaxon Richmond, JaCarsten Landor, Prince Washington, Jayden R
