Meet Shocka

Shocka, aka Kenneth Erhahon, is a rapper and mental health advocate from Tottenham, North London. He first gained recognition as one-third of the grime collective Marvell, alongside Double S and Vertex.

Having experienced mental health challenges himself, Shocka has dedicated his platform and music to raising awareness, breaking down stigma, and supporting others facing similar struggles.

His advocacy has taken him beyond music, including speaking on the TED platform and appearing on numerous talk shows to share his experiences and inspire others.

His October 2018 single, Self Love, reflects his personal journey with mental health and the importance of learning to accept and appreciate yourself. Shocka believes that self-love can play a vital role in navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. His message is simple yet powerful: learning to love yourself, regardless of your background or identity, can help you approach life with greater confidence, resilience, and positivity.

On 16 May 2020, Shocka released his debut album, Impact Over Numbers, exploring a range of deeply personal and thought-provoking themes, including mental health, friendship, and miscarriage.

Through his music and advocacy, Shocka continues to remind us that vulnerability is strength, self-love matters, and our experiences do not define our worth. 🖤

The energy the this gentleman brought was fire
This poem was filled taboos and unsaid truths .
And his support of the other performers was 🙏🏾😇🔥.

We are here to amplify the voices of individuals who desire to be heard, because every voice is valid and relevant. And if you’re willing to truly listen, there is so much to learn.
This space is for the unheard, the brave, and
the real.
Every voice matters. Every story is valid.”

The last opportunity to share this year will be 21:11:2026 hope to see you there #poem #life #artist #poetry #artistsoninstagram

Art doesn’t have to stay on the canvas.
Turning everyday items into something you can wear hand painted by me. 🎨🧢✨
