As a musician who’s played hundreds of shows in my longish life… every once in a while you get on stage and it seems like everything goes wrong. And it’s nobody’s fault!!❤️You try everything in your power to give EVERYTHING you’ve got to the beautiful audience… but somehow the amps blow up, the Big Muff quits, the monitors screech, the mic shocks your lips, a cherished friend was just revealed to have betrayed you…and you just have a bad foockin’ night. We’ve all had them and to be honest they’re devastating and you go home and get drunk and cry because you and your band practice and practice and everybody shows up when they’re tired after work everybody shows up when it’s hot when it’s cold and you MAKE MUSIC TOGETHER and then you wanna go out and play it for people and you want them to hear it as it IS, as it can be, and be MOVED somehow. Friends show up to support you, so you wanna give them the BEST you’ve got! But some nights it’s just a shit show, ha ha!
I want to give many thanks to Thea and Jason and Chaz who were running the Round Up at @the.one.ramble for inviting us and for everything they gave to us ❤️. And I want to give many thanks to the audience that stuck around even though I couldn’t sing and wanted to crawl inside the bass drum and hide! I wanna give many thanks to one of my favorite bass players of all time @tylerbolles who came up after our set and said “I get it! We’ve all been there…”and MOST OF ALL I thank my amazing daughter @audreysunshine_ for lifting me up & my amazing bandmates @jaekmoran802 @cowtippaa @josephleebowling @indigoruthdavis and our incredible guest singer @7ru6y who has never gotten up like that on stage to sing with a loud rock band and totally crushed it! Y’all ROCKED it! I’m so honored to be able to sing with you, and I hope all of you who witnessed me falling apart on stage, will still Stand By Me❤️ I love you !
Rest in Rock n Roll power John Lennon you continue to be an inspiration🎸

Environmental portraits of Meg in the dorm we shared a twin bed in. Surrounded by her fancy clothes either picked up 2nd hand or borrowed from May. Prints on the wall from her photos from this year, a linocut print I made and gave her, and a poster from the local hardcore band that we used to drive Meg’s minivan to go see in Vermont. Standing in a dancer-esque way as she does. Clothes strewn over the chair; normal happenings, normal environment. I only wish I got her giant stack of giant art books she hauls around with her where ever she goes.

A collage i made entirely out of photos from my dads facebook page. They are various scenes from over my sister and I’s life: breakfast in bed, matching rainbow dresses, our childhood church, window views from inside the steeple, its restoration after an arson attack, our dog, castles in Ireland, the Trinity College Library, construction sites my dad worked on, and rides on the Wildwood, NJ boardwalk.
