You know I can’t resist a good home design store! 😍

I finally stopped into 7th Avenue at the Roseville Galleria, right across from See’s Candies and I’m in love! 🛋️

They specialize in sofas of all shapes and sizes, and every piece is interchangeable so you can create a layout that works for your home. And SO comfortable!

The most knowledgeable sales associate took the time to show us how it all works. Meanwhile, I was already mentally rearranging our family room. 😂

Now I can’t stop thinking about one of these couches in our home. I’ll definitely be back… and probably not just to browse!

You MUST stop in and take a seat! Have you checked out 7th Avenue yet?

The “where did Richard fall asleep?” series has a plot twist 😂

We got a new couch from @7thavenueco and suddenly the floor is beneath him. 🤣 He climbs up all by himself, gets comfortable, and settles in for his nap. 💤💙

What’s the funniest place your little one has fallen asleep?

Follow for more of Richard’s everyday adventures!

The sofa you love looking at should also be the one you’re happy to eat dinner on, host friends on, and spend a Sunday doing absolutely nothing on.

That’s what makes @7thavenue worth a visit. Their modular sofas can be configured to fit your space, with water-repellent, stain-resistant fabrics and removable, washable covers for the spills and everyday mess that come with actually using your living room.

Find them at Ashwood 12 South, and take your time getting comfortable.

Deep cleaning day 🧹🤍 and, what’s better than a fresh, clean couch!?

One of my favorite things about my @7thavenueco sofa is that the cushions and covers are machine washable, and it’s so easy to take apart and put back together (and rearrange whichever way I’m feeling). 🙌🏼

Because with kids and dogs, let’s be real… washable furniture isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity 🛋️

They also have amazing customer service, which is hard to come by these days ✨

I knew my new @7thavenueco couch came with free lumbar pillows. Didn’t realize I already owned the 80 lb version. 💁🏼‍♀️🐾

In a past relationship, I was told I couldn’t hang our blended family pictures in his house. 🚩

Now I have a husband who BUILDS media walls + MAKES pictures for our memories. 🥹

The older reel I shared about not decorating my home reached so many of you. And the comments made me realize how many women understood that feeling of never fully settling in.

But this season feels different.

I’m learning that feeling safe shows up in so many ways. And apparently, one of those is finally decorating my house.

Hanging the pictures. Picking out furniture together. Making room for OUR memories.

I never would’ve thought this could feel so healing or that it would be something I’d be so excited to do with my husband.

One of the few things already hanging is something Stephen made me: maps of where we met, where he proposed, + where we said “I do.” With every date. 😍

He makes me feel safe in so many ways. And I’m so thankful we get to make this home ours. 🖤

So now I need help with the decorating part. 🫣

We need a couch, a rug, + something for that big empty wall. My style? Somewhere between industrial, warm wood, black accents, + antiques that came from my dad and will always have a place in my home.

Basically, cozy enough for real life, full of things that mean something to us, + storage with DOORS because the games and extra blankets need a home, too.

Stephen built our fireplace wall, and he’s making floating shelves next. I cannot wait to see our memories up there.

Where would YOU start: couch or rug? And if you love your couch, tell me who makes it. Kids, dogs, movie nights… I need the real review.

Follow along as we make room for this chapter. I’m ready to put up the memories. 🖤

A Sunday reset and a little catch up with my girls 🤍 Life has been a lot lately, but I’m finding my way back, one little step at a time. How have you been, honestly?
