We’re hitting the streets for Nithya Raman’s campaign for Mayor of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is becoming unaffordable for too many people. This is about affordability, challenging the status quo, and building an L.A. where working people can afford to stay.

Join the Nithya for Mayor canvass this Sunday in Northridge:

***UPDATE: West Valley gathering on 9/14 has been cancelled.***

Community doesn’t always land in your lap — sometimes you have to make a plan to find it, build it, and maintain it! 🗓️

Here’s your chance: Head to laforward.org/calendar (link in bio) to sign up for our next set of LA Forward Community Gatherings. We’ve got you on the Westside or in West LA; in the West or East Valleys; if you’re in and around Sunset from Hollywood until it hits Chinatown; or if you call the South Bay home…

…and if you’re in NELA or the SGV, we hope to get one in the books soon! Stay tuned!

Join is as we continue to build power in the West Valley!

We’ll be joined by special guest @barriforthevalley, Candidate for LA City Council District 3 to answer community questions about the future of CD3. We’ll also discuss the importance of people power in elections and explore the many ways you can volunteer to help local campaigns and build a fairer, more flourishing city.

This event will be hosted at @shiftourways in Reseda, a community farm that provides locally grown organic produce, shared education, and access to safe green spaces for our communities. They’ll be sharing information about their collective and selling plants at the event. This event is free to the public but cash donations to support the work of SOW will be accepted onsite.

RSVP by clicking “upcoming events” at the link in our bio.

There was SO MUCH JOY in our community today. And such determination to stand up for each other. And quite possibly my best selfie collection to date (and, I know, far too much of my face.) #weprideatdawn @sfv.pride #valleypride

Last year, for the first time in City history, we officially proclaimed October 11th as National Coming Out Day in the City of Los Angeles! This year, we keep that celebration going— in Council District 4 and beyond!

CD4 is proud to be home to a vibrant LGBTQIA+ community, and community leaders like @pjbrescia @maebeagirl and Amos Marvel are an integral part of the fabric that makes our district so unique and welcoming. Their contributions, ranging from neighborhood advocacy to cultural events, have helped foster an environment of inclusivity and acceptance for all.

Swipe to read more about what “National Coming Out Day” means to us!🌈

Amos and I spent Valentine’s weekend in Vegas celebrating his pre-birthday, and it turned into an unforgettable trip! While walking through the shops at Caesars, he recommended visiting the store of a jewelry designer I admire to examine rings I had seen online. Believing we were merely browsing, I was surprised that he actually proposed!

Little did I know, he had been planning this for a month, working closely with store staff and management to make it all happen. At first, I thought he was joking (because he always does), but it was real—and of course, I said YES!

I’m so excited for this next chapter with the love of my life and look forward to our future together!
