In a world full of chaos and heartbreak it’s more important than ever to continue to honour life, love, and the power of the creative force. I was gifted the opportunity to immerse myself alone in a studio in Glasgow to write this album that became an incantation of dreams and a purging of nightmares. I was looking for an equilibrium between a ‘heaven’ and a ‘hell’ … an exorcism.

Surrendering to the circle of familial chaos, I wailed, lamented, scratched and pulled out these songs with my body, my voice, and tormented stringed instruments… screaming out to the wisdom of our foremothers - surfacing and leading me into true strength - the ugly and the beautiful - I listened to the sorrow closely.

The songs were essentially spells that helped me summon up the strength to move through my own awareness of mortality, isolation, death and impending loss. For death is a part of our reality. Inevitable. Omnipresent.

This upcoming album is a living funeral. It’s a ceremonial collection of music. An ode to love and life and peace. It’s out on 4th April 2025 on vinyl, cd, cassette, and digital + you can preorder it now.
