Hachiju by 88 Matcha 🍓🍵

A gentle, silky matcha with a rounded, comforting finish, paired with my homemade strawberry syrup for a bright fruity touch. 🍓

Homemade Strawberry Syrup:
Fresh strawberries • sugar • a splash of water • a squeeze of lemon juice

Simple, fruity, and so good with Hachiju. ✨

POV: It all started with one tin... 🍵

My matcha collection since April. 🌿💚

From trying my first ceremonial matcha to discovering different cultivars, regions, and flavor profiles, this little collection has grown faster than I expected. Every tin has its own story, and I'm still learning with every bowl. ✨

Also... recommend me some good matcha to try next! 😍

Tried SHIJŪ Matcha as a regular matcha latte with CP-Meiji Low Fat Milk. 🍵🥛

Upon opening the pouch, napansin ko agad yung nutty aroma niya. As a latte, mas lumabas talaga yung nuttiness. It has a slight bitterness, but nothing overpowering. May light umami rin with a subtle sweetness that makes it really enjoyable.

I think I added a bit too much water this time 😅, so medyo lighter yung flavor than I wanted. Pero honestly, it was still really good. Smooth, balanced, and easy to drink. I enjoyed this one a lot. 🤍

Got this from @88matcha__ ! They're based here in Davao, and the owner is super nice and accommodating. If you're looking to try quality matcha, definitely check them out. 🍃

Can't wait to try their newest release, HAJICHU! ✨

Finished @88matcha__ ‘s Shiju, a mix of 3 cultivars- Okumidori, Saemidori, and Tsuyuhikari.

It has a natural sweetness with slight bitterness, followed by subtle nutty and floral notes that linger pleasantly. The texture is a bit chalky, but it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s best prepared as a cold-whisked matcha!
