kwia002
A collective memory of its Maybachufer home

After five years on Berlin’s Maybachufer, kwia continues through its label with kwia002, its second compilation and first release since closing its space.

kwia gave the chillout room a permanent home: a space for contemplative and experimental music beyond the dance floor, and for people seeking softness, safety and connection.

Its programme brought together emerging and established artists, community gatherings, fundraisers and experimental performances in a setting closer to a shared living room than a conventional venue.

kwia002 contains ten original tracks by artists who helped shape kwia. Together, they hold the feeling of a space shaped equally by those who played there and those who listened.

This release is a thank you to every artist, friend and listener who stepped through our doors and made kwia feel like home. Thank you for loving us. We love you all, and hope we will find our way back to one another in a new space for kwia.

Featuring Torus, Yantan Ministry, walter p99 arkestra x taalah , Dove, umru & DJH, kissen x stone, Standard Girl & delfiné, guava, ABADIR & MICHAELBRAILEY, and Why Be featuring Kareem Lotfy.

All tracks mastered by Ike Zwanikken, except “BITTER LEMON GUT (굿)”. @lucky_bloke

Our beloved kwia has changed how we experience and relate to music. It has been the coziest and most welcoming living room and a big reason Berlin feels like home.
We are heartbroken to witness it close its doors, but deeply honored to host the last event before its final goodbye. 💔

We invite you to hang out with us here one last time, horizontally and vertically, for a dance and nap, bringing in the energy for new starts and in memory of all the beautiful moments we’ve had
kwia forever ♡

NET GALA (Seoul)
B2B Why Be (Berlin)

We’re excited to welcome Net Gala and Why Be, joining us at La Station for the Paris edition of our Einhundert 10 year anniversary.

A special B2B bringing together two singular voices at the edges of contemporary club music.

As one of the driving forces behind Seoul’s underground club scene, NET GALA distorts the conventional language of electronic music through pulsating rhythms and mercurial sonic forms. Their work moves fluidly between underground dance music and warped pop expression, shaped through years of releases and collaborations across @hakuna.kulala , @svbkvlt , and beyond.

Why Be, the Korean-born, Danish-raised producer based between Berlin and Copenhagen, brings a radically singular approach to club music. Emerging from the fringes of experimental dance, his work resists easy categorization, defined instead by a hectic, cathartic, and uncompromising energy. He is also a founding member of the @yegorka.de label, a platform guided by an open, artist-driven approach that prioritizes strong individual identities over fixed stylistic frameworks.

CODE.SWITCH – DAY 3: Sunday, 19 October

The final day of CODE.SWITCH turns toward quietness and reflection. Under the theme Silence, the evening opens with a guided listening session by Why Be, presenting works from Berlin-based experimental label Yegorka.

Moving between released and unreleased material, the session offers a glimpse into the label’s evolving practice — a tour through what has been made, and what remains unfinished.

Performances follow from a lineup that moves between stillness and motion.

Nas Tea opens with an DJ set balancing rhythm and restraint.
Yantan Ministry crafts an evolving language of sound that drifts between composition and improvisation — defined by subtle tension and constant motion.

Returning after a long hiatus, Primitive Art — the duo of Matteo Pit and Jim C. Nedd — bring their singular vision of experimental sound in what will be their first performance in a minute.

To close the weekend, CKTRL performs spirit live — his debut album on R&R, inspired by bell hooks’ reflections on healing and connection. Blending saxophone, rhythm, and silence, the set moves through tenderness and intensity, offering a deeply personal end to three days of sound and listening.
