🚨 URGENT: OUR RENT PROTECTIONS ARE UNDER DIRECT THREAT IN POMONA! 🚨 Opposing groups are actively mobilizing to kill Pomona’s Rent Stabilization Ordinance! They are organizing to flood City Council with messages demanding that Ordinance 4359 be allowed to EXPIRE, leaving local families unprotected against severe rent hikes and displacement. We cannot let them strip away our community’s housing stability. We need EVERY Pomona resident, tenant, and ally to act NOW to protect our renters! HOW YOU CAN TAKE ACTION: 1️⃣ CALL & EMAIL CITY COUNCIL BEFORE MONDAY Use our quick script below to demand City Council vote YES on Option #2 to continue Ordinance 4359 beyond 12/31/26 and establish a vital landlord registry. 2️⃣ SHOW UP IN PERSON THIS MONDAY 📍 Where: Pomona Council Chambers (505 S Garey Ave) 📅 When: Monday, October 19th at 5:30 PM 💬 Action:Give public comment and pack the room to show City Council that Pomona stands with tenants! 🔗 Full script & link in our bio: bit.ly/Pomona-RSO

I took a two day break from social media to recharge, ponder, and shake off the bullshit I received this week while talking openly about the medical industrial complex, ableism, pain management, and how fellow leftists can and do exclude disabled folks from organizing, their general program, and operations. I was told I was being divisive, which is really upsetting to me because I have quite literally given everything to this movement. To this platform. Legit blood sweat and tears no matter the roadblocks in front of me. We are valuable and we are not an after thought. And just imagine what could happen if millions of disabled folks were not only included but seen as whole human beings who have a lot to offer to the world no matter what the world tells us. We resist by adapting to hostile environments. We are fully prepared to resist fascism as we have for decades. We are still here, but my friends are dying. Disabled folks are dying. So this is my open call to disabled leftists. If you include disability justice not as a side piece but the whole dang meal we would truly be unstoppable. A fucking force.
