Something is brewing, see you soon

Time really does fly.
You blink twice and the magnolia season is over.
The bright pink petals can’t hold against the rain anymore, and in a quiet kind of agreement they let go of the branch and fall.

Next year, they’ll do the same again.
The pattern simply repeats.

But maybe next year I’ll step a bit closer,
and forage a few flowers instead of watching it pass.

So before I blink again, before spring quietly replaces itself,
I want to stand still for a moment and share something real.

I’ve been thinking about what we’re actually doing on this app.
Posting without really saying anything, watching without really seeing,
letting things pass that probably meant something to someone at some point.

I want to use this space a bit differently.
Not just to show things, but to actually share them.

So here’s a part of what my life has looked like lately.

My 19th birthday started with a popup,
where I sold pastries that not too long ago only existed in my head, and at home in my kitchen.
Seeing people taste them, react to them, come back for another,
made it land in a way I hadn’t felt before.

Not long after, I got to cook for @lydsdinners .
That brought me closer to food, and to people, than I had been before.

The “Marry Me tofu” we served stayed with me.
Not because it was just that good, but for what it seemed to represent as well.
I’ll leave that open.

and a lot of respect to my executive chef @emjeanmay

Another moment that meant a lot was the event with @gardencoffeecart at @thriftparkamsterdam .
Serving coffee and pastry, trading cookies for smiles. Seeing people slow down and connect.
Even if just briefly.

Thank you Marco, for sharing that with me.

And somewhere in between all of this, I found a room in Amsterdam, close to Westerpark.
I’ll be moving there soon.

It’s a bit of a jump, but not one I want to let pass me by.

In an effort to be precise, there is a lot I am leaving out.

Continues in the comments.

few weeks back having the absolute pleasure of cooking up a storm for @lydsdinners 🍽️

If you know me you know how much I love to cook for others and getting to do so for almost 30 people, all whilst collaborating with my wifey @lydia_o82 was a dream!

big love to everyone who came, who was apart of it and I absolutely can’t wait for the next one

(sticky date pudding maybe back by popular demand)
