📍 Aruffo’s in Claremont | Est 1985

We’re back @aruffos and it did NOT disappoint (again). If you know me you know that pasta is basically my love language - and this place speaks fluently. To our surprise, we ran into two lovely friends of ours (@918dre & @djangievee 🫶🏼) while we were there and ended up turning it into an impromptu lunch ✨

🍅 First up, the bruschetta — toasted bread piled high with juicy roasted tomatoes, creamy whipped cheese, fresh basil, and a shower of parm. Every bite was a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and herby.

🍞 And can we talk about the table bread?! Warm, pillowy, absolute perfection straight out of the oven. I could’ve made a whole meal out of that alone.

🥗 The arugula salad came through with peppery greens, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, and shaved cheese draped over the top like a blanket. Every forkful was bursting with flavor — sweet, crunchy, and fresh.

🍤 For my entrée I went with the Scampi — gulf shrimp and mushrooms tossed with ex-virgin olive oil, pinot grigio, lemon, garlic, and a hint of cream over perfectly cooked spaghetti. The shrimp was seasoned SO well, and the mushrooms were unbelievably delicate — like they melted in your mouth. Comfort food at its finest.

Aragosta Ravioli 🦞 We also had the lobster ravioli — wild-caught lobster and black tiger shrimp tucked into pasta pillows. Light, dreamy, and just decadent enough without being heavy.

🇮🇹 And the lasagna?? Layers of pasta oozing with ricotta, mozzarella, and pecorino Romano in a hearty beef ragù. It tasted like it came straight from Nonna’s kitchen — rich, comforting, made with love.

🍩 We sealed the deal with their house-made donuts, warm and dusted in powdered sugar. The perfect sweet ending to an already perfect meal.

This was our second time at Aruffo’s and it’s officially cemented itself as a go-to. Every dish felt intentional, from the sauces to the seasoning to the presentation. If you’re in Claremont and craving real, comforting Italian food — this is your spot.

I’ll be back. 🍷
Good Bites. Good Vibes.
