What a great Sunday last weekend. We grabbed some HTR friends and attended @elsautomotivedetailing cars and coffee event in the morning. And then we went to @b_road_atthe_stag to support @abarth_kent and their afternoon meet!

Great vibes and it’s nice to show love to others who hold car events!

We finished the day by visiting the Kent south coast and played at the arcades!

So the News Years Day Drive Out with @htr.events was a good one, if not a little more eventful for me than intended.

I cruised in good company from our start point at Thurrock services around the Isle of Grain and onto Sheerness. At that point the symptoms of my cold had returned with a vengeance & I felt awful so decided to part ways early.

On setting the satnav for home I realised the M25 had been shut by the Dartford Crossing adding delays to my journey, so I figured I'd stay where I was, parked overlooking the sea & grab a nap, hoping I'd feel a bit better when I awoke & that the traffic situation would have improved.

Glad to say that for both instances things had improved so I made my way home. As I get towards the 50mph limit in lane 4 heading for the right hand tunnel I suddenly hear a strange metallic noise, at first thinking maybe I've picked up a bit of debris I hadn't spotted, but the sound wouldn't go away.

Having exited the tunnel I made my way to Thurrock Services to see what the noise was, where I discovered I was missing my left side backbox.

I decided I'd walk the roundabout, where I first realised I could no longer hear the metallic noise, to see if I could recover the missing back box, whilst walking the roundabout I posted in the group chat and @lisa.amg.essex @ade.fr300 & @zagato.shots came to see if they could help. I said I'd had no luck so far but was going to check the slip road & then the services.

The three of them kindly offered to check the services for me & hit the jackpot, my back box had come off on the services sliproad, so they kindly returned it to me. 💪🏻❤️

Much love to all the @htr.events community

Check the video clip coming shortly, car sounds awesome with the backbox off 🤣
