Sometimes all a good idea needs is inspiration and someone to agree with you. A long search for the right solution to this issue led us to ignore conventional retail offerings and design our own fridge slide, that is uniquely compact and made to the exact dimension of our @icecofreezer APL35 dual zone fridge/freezer.

A GIGANTIC THANK YOU TO @jbezwelding for taking what was in my brain and making it a reality, to @97customs / @nineseven_designs for the installation assist and always being ready to help us realize our build ideas. And to @okanagancustomcoatings for their unmatched service and blisteringly fast turn around time.

This idea went from concept to installation in less than 7 days. Faster than shipping on the Amazon option that didn’t fit the fridge or the rig and has taken nearly 3 months to get a refund for.

If you’re in need of a fridge slide and like the way this looks reach out to Jess at @jbezwelding he will get you started.

If you like the Overland Kitchen, Jeep JL Seat Delete or Cargo Platform hit up Calvin @nineseven_designs. I think he mentioned options for other makes and models including the Ford Bronco might be on the horizon :-)

And last but certainly not least all your custom coating needs from small custom fabricated parts to large industrial applications Jason and his team @okanagancustomcoatings has got you covered… literally.

You get the feeling of fall is upon us, rain and cold temperatures combined with fog in the mountain. Nothing shows us more that the season is changing fast…..

Another epic day exploring in to the alpine.

The calm before the storm! Clay and I went out for 3 nights away from the chaos of our busy summer hustle. It’s hard to believe, in the same moment, Our community was facing another major wildfire.

Wellllll dagnabit sure didn’t want to nearly ruin our first whipsaw run of 2026 like that but luckily ATLAS held together and finished the trail.

A GIGANTIC THANK YOU to everyone that helped me get the parts together so I could fix it to make the long Highway journey home. Thank you to @elonmusk I’d have been in a real pickle without my Starlink.

Most of all to the most wonderful Wife a man could ask for, for gathering up the parts and driving them all the way out to the end of the trail so I could make the repairs and get ATLAS home she really is the most amazing Woman.

I think we are gonna bypass the Tilt-a-Whirl next time ;-)

Evening at camp brought us storms, sunsets and campfire convos! Not really much more to say aside from the fact it was a super fun night and that sleeping in the next morning was lovely! Dun dun… Dun dun… Dun dun dun dun dun…
People of Vernon, we’ve got a problem…
Reports are coming in of unusually large crowds circling 97 Customs on August 29th.
Experts believe they’re being drawn in by:
🔥 Smokin’ hot rigs.
🎂 The faint scent of birthday cake.
🌭 Questionable parking lot hot dogs.
🎸 An unhealthy amount of ’80s music.
“You’re gonna need a bigger parking lot.”
Forget the beach… it’s not safe to stay home.
Our marine biologists have identified several dangerous species expected to surface:
● The Jeep that says, “It’s stock,” while sitting on 40s.
● The Tacoma owner explaining suspension geometry to anyone who accidentally makes eye contact.
● The guy who says, “I’m only stopping by for 20 minutes,” and is still there when the streetlights come on.
● Someone who insists this is the year they’re finally winning the burnout contest… despite there not being a burnout contest.
Chief Brody wanted to close the beaches.
We’re opening the parking lot.
📍 97 Customs
📅 August 29
🕕 6 PM until someone finally says, “Alright… one last lap.”
Dress in your best ‘80s gear, bring your rig, your friends, your family, and that one buddy who always says, “I wasn’t gonna come…” but somehow arrives first.
We’re gonna need a bigger parking lot… and probably more cake.

Moving things along, the morning at the lake had to eventually come to an end as I had to head back into town for an early morning set up at the Vernon overland connect! Despite losing one of my light bars on the way down I made it in time to line up and eventually set up! The whole day was super fun and it was great seeing all the peeps, the set ups, the vendors and of course, the food truck! I managed to get 1…yes, 1 picture during the whole event as I just dialed in the interactions way more than the need for pics! With the meet and greet done we headed up to the hills for an incredible evening of camping, fires, never ending conversations and so much more!
