NCR’s Dr. Seuss Collection 📚 At last, children’s literature that reflects the realities of modern life. Because learning the alphabet is all very well, but what use is it if your child can’t distinguish between a freehold and a leasehold, recognise the early symptoms of burnout or understand why Daddy hasn’t been into the office since 2020? Beautifully illustrated, morally questionable and entirely unsuitable for children whose parents shop at Lidl. 🍃 #richmond #drseuss #catinthehat #parody #satire

First grandaddy car meet 🥹 Guys! I had the best time on Sunday. So rewarding to be a part of a community like this. Meeting all of you that came on Sunday was easily the best part about all of this. You’re all wonderful people. It was genuinely such a pleasure to be able to host this civilised little meet up with you all. And the cars! You guys actually put on a show. @thomas_a_turner GTi Cabrio was my favourite. Big up the E-Type that sacrificed a windscreen wiper to be here. @ayy.whos.dat for pulling up with the ps ~ was too busy shmoozin to get a go brother but next time. @quellidieastlondon for getting this in motion. But most importantly @__caffecarina for keeping the people caffeinated, in style! You guys rock. I can’t wait for the next one now! 27th September, similar sort of gig. Details to come… #grandaddywhips #ukcarmeet #ukcarmeets

Halo Ring: 2007 Audi R8 4.2 In the early 2000s, Audi had a bit of a problem on its hands. It was absolutely dominating Le Mans prototype racing..... Multiple times infact, every year from 2000-2005, bar 2003 (thanks Bentley). But this performance and sporting heritage didn't really make sense with Audis current crop of sporty cars being big, heavy yet powerful estates and saloons. Sure there was the RS6, and the RS4, and the V10 S8 was bonkers to say the least (and the less said about the V12 Q7, the better in terms of handling), but nothing really hit as a Halo product. So Audi needed a Halo product. Something that would show the world, they weren't just a brand for middle management, but something that would take the fight..... Not to BMW or Mercedes, forget that. That's too easy, but to the literal leader of the sports car: the 911. by now, it was the 997. So Audi had it's work cut out for them...... Well that was until they realised they and Lamborghini had done much of the work for them in creating a competent chassis for the Gallardo, and that Audi had a trick set of Magna-ride suspension already in use in the then new TT. All that was left was an engi- oh wait, nvm, Audi just plonked the engine out of the then brand new (and brilliant) B7 RS4, added dry sump lubrication and then gave the job of Walter De'Silva the job of creating, what is considered to be, one of the most iconic silhouettes of the modern car industry. There's no mistaking this for a Lamborghini or a Porsche. That side blade will ALWAYS be unmistakably Audi. The interior manages to find that perfect blend of sporting supercar, but regular pedestrian usability. Almost like an NSX, but 15 years newer and even more upmarket. The tactility of the gated manual is just so crisp and sounds like clinking 2 wine glasses together. It's just so satisfying! The 414bhp Growly V8 helps too. Added with Quattros AWD system and you have a genuine rival to the Carrera 4S. So did it beat the 911? Uhh well no. Not quite. It was slower and heavier but none of that matters when you're a playboy, billionaire, genius. #fyp #audi #r8 #manual #cars
