This is long overdue upgrade I have been waiting for 🙌🏻 I loved the iconic ikea karlby/alex drawer combo but it was starting to become to shallow for me and I was craving something with more flexibility like an actual standing desk that allows me to switch from standing to sitting and a bigger desk real estate to work with when my day is super cluttered

I finally have a proper place to work from home 🤍

Between lesson planning, marking and all the little things I end up finishing after hours, I was constantly working wherever I could find space, usually the kitchen bench.

Teaching has a funny way of following you home 🤍

There’s always something to mark, a lesson to plan, or something to prepare for tomorrow and for years, mine usually ended up on the kitchen bench or dining table 😂

A plan that took 2 years to come together. A full year of ideas, designs, council approvals and then another year of construction with all it's delays!

Slowly getting around to the vision I had in my head but there is still a lot I need to do 🫣

Let me say it out loud so I have accountability:

I plan on doing a wall moulding in the bedroom 🙃 Please don't tell my husband 😄 We can keep it a secret from him!

Turns out, building a business and creating content means spending a LOT of time at a desk 😂

Between editing reels, planning content, working on @alreadypjs and all the little things that somehow fill the day. This is what a pretty normal day at my desk looks like!

And I can confirm, having a workspace I genuinely enjoy being in makes spending this much time here a whole lot nicer 🥹
