Two months ago, I shot a film which is currently in post production called “Once Upon a Time in Brunswick” with a team of very talented, hardworking people.

At this stage of the process where a lot of the work is out of my hands, I’ve been able to reflect on the shoot.

The production allowed me to be the most hands on with purely directing than I ever have before.

Directing a narrative project that you are financing out of your own pocket forces you to ask: what kind of leader do I want to be? How do I want the people who worked on this to feel when they go home?

These questions are just as important to me as getting my vision across and being an artist.

What is most inspiring about the people who show up to work on a project like this is the pure faith they have, and their dedication to getting everything right.

Watching everyone work on this project gave me some of the greatest joy I’ve ever felt.

When people ask me what I want, what my goals are, I really can only give one answer: I just want to do this forever.

It is people like these that inspire me to work in this field. Across client work, passion projects, or whatever else comes up - I just want to do this forever.

Can’t wait to share this project in the next few months alongside a few other really exciting things we’re working on.
