We’ve had at least 18 different velocity PRs so far this September. These guys have put in the work and we’re excited to see them reach new numbers over the course of the offseason. Swipe through to see the athletes and their results.

@kaii2nice went from 71.6 to 81.1 mph, an increase of 9.5 mph. That’s a substantial jump and it’s all due to his consistency on the mound as well as the weigh room. Great work, Kai. Let’s keep building.

@ethxn1x pushed his velocity from 72.3 to 78.6 mph, adding 6.3 mph this past month. We’re pumped with the results so far, and are excited to see Ethan continue working and build on this.

Fan favorite @bobbyconnollyyy is up to 84.5 mph from 79.6, a 4.9 mph increase. Proud of you, Bobert. Keep ticking upward!

@tannergola crossed 80 with a new velocity PR of 80.8 mph, up from 78.0. That’s 2.8 mph added and there’s still a ton of runway to add more to the gun.

@anthonyp_13nyc hit 82.4 mph on his shuttle throw for a new lifetime PR. Nice work, Anthony. We wouldn’t be shocked if this pushes towards the upper-80’s by the end of the offseason.

@rob3190 went from 64.8 to 75.5 mph over the course of 4 months. That’s a 10.7 mph increase and the largest recorded gain in this group. Rob, who throws from two unique arm slots, also saw a submarine velocity PR of 71.7. Great work, Rob!

@tommyd_31 hit 91.6 mph on his shuffle throw. Kid has an electric arm, and we can’t wait to continue to build on the baseline he’s developed.

@nickycallonas moved from 71.6 to 73.9 mph, adding 2.3 mph. Another step forward and a new personal best for arguably our most consistent athlete these last three years. We can’t wait to see Nicky continue to develop over his sophomore campaign.

@joey_dimaria reached 87.8 mph on his shuffle throw for a new PR. We’re excited to see Joey continue to build versatility around the infield diamond this offseason. Great work.

@joey.muzio went from 81.7 to 85.8 mph, adding 4.1 mph. A big step into the mid-80s and plenty of more room to throw harder with this base. Great work, Joey.

@g_vetell7 went from 76.3 to 83.2 mph, a 6.9 mph increase. Moving from t

Sometimes one PR sets the tone for the entire day, and they just keep rolling in. Yesterday we had 5 pitchers hit an all-time best velocity, headlined by 4 uncommitted HS arms.

Bobby Connolly (Xaverian HS, 2027) started things off in the morning by ripping an all time best heater of 84.4, and his hardest average fastball ever, averaging 83.

Kai Ventura (Manhattan Center for Science & Math, 2028) followed up with a big day, hitting 80mph for the first time, decided that wasn’t enough, and hit 81 for the first time as well.

Jay Delgadillo (Mount St Michael’s, 2027) had hit 80 before in game, but had never thrown over 78 indoors before yesterday.

Rob Romero (St. Francis Prep, 2028), throws from two different arm slots, and hit a PR from both of them yesterday. He previously has trouble getting over 70 consistently from either slot, was up to 75 from his higher slot (I missed getting that pitch on video) and 71.7 from the funkier submarine slot.

Last but not least, despite being off in the Frontier League pitching for the @mudmonstersbsb, Julian Minaya (Hempstead HS 2019, eligibility exhausted) still felt the magic in the air in the facility, and hit 95 for the first time in his career in his first inning against the Joliet Slammers.
