Elected |regional director, West|
Went for this August conference with little expectations but ended up falling in love… falling in love with the Vision, falling in love with the concept, falling in love with the process and I fell in love with the wonderful people. I definitely made the best decision embarking on this journey and I got something out of it.
Thank you LORD JESUS.🎖️

For me, beauty isn’t just in the things yousee, or the things you feel. Beauty is a mindset, a consciousness and a choice. It is the choice everyone should make and keep making regardless of what is seen or felt. ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ but when you see yourself through the lens of the one who made you, only then will you fully comprehend the beauty of the one staring back at you in the mirror. This is my audition to be a part of the beauty hut pr list.

October 31st is safe space’s birthday.

Today has been an emotional one for me.
I have had this drawing ready to go for hours but I’ve been pondering what to say, struggling with the words.
.
i first thought of safe space when I was 15, a little kernel of an idea that terrified me. Taking on something like this, in a country like mine? what would people say? would my friends laugh? would teachers make fun of the idea and laugh at “that your little project”?

a year later I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I couldn’t shake it. This was so much bigger than me.

At 16 I made our discord, spent my time researching, drew the first drawings of safe with my index finger and the tiny screen of my phone and “anonymously” told people about it, asked them to share it far and wide.
~“My friend sent this to me maybe you could send it to yours? Or post on your story?”~

Everything about this cause *filled me*, that’s the best way to put it. Everything and every idea filled me. I was doing something, no matter how little, to try and make someone feel less alone.

When I was 17 I decided to try and build something more. The idea was laughable really 4 teenagers learning web development on the spot and trying to build the platform in 6 weeks? We spent so many nights trying to and failing and laughing and crying and learning. Our platform didn’t hold up at the end of the day and you couldn’t message ppl for more than a few mins but hey, we did it!

And as I turned 18 this year, we did so much it makes me want to cry because I could never have imagined how beautifully this would grow.

We made short films and drawings and pitch decks and showcase videos; we got a stable version of our platform out and we developed a game!(another thing we had no idea how to do); we worked with the bloom Africa and finished our 2nd season of n&ws and went to our first and last irl(a long dream of ours) we grew this community and met so many people and wore all our dreams like a proud badge on our chest, showing off to whoever would listen.

It’s been two years and everyone on the team believes in this cause so much bigger than themselves.

…

all I can say is thank you.
thank you so much.
