On April 6th, 2023, my life was forever changed. It has been a long, daunting road to get to this moment. I am still processing very slowly. I am honored to be named the 77th Miss Langston University💙.

First giving honor to God who wiped my tears and comforted me when I felt that this road was impossible.

To the 76 before me, thank you for paving the way and setting the standard. A special thanks to my 74th, @_.justray for pouring into me since freshman year, reminding me of my capabilities and highlighting the need for my authenticity. To my 76th, @divadivaaa , thank you for pushing me and requiring that I operate at my best. You have set an amazing example and I say job well done.

To my friends and family, I thank you for supporting and reminding me of why my story and journey is necessary to tell. Thank you for allowing me to step into this season with my own authority and cultivating the best within me.

To my Mister Langston University, @iam_parrisevans , I say thank you in advance. There is so much that could be said, but I am honored to walk alongside you in this journey.

To my dear Langston University, I promise to serve with dignity, grace and contribute to the standard that was set before me. I will honor the rich history of this university and will give my very best to students across campus. The Journey to Chain-Breaking begins now!
