🏈 TROY FALL PREVIEW: ANTONIOUS STEELE @_.vlon3ant Position: Safety Class: 2nd Year Height/Weight: 6-1 / 192 Hometown: Centreville, Ala. High School: Bibb County HS Antonious Steele enters the 2026 season as one of Troy’s young defensive backs looking to turn a redshirt year into an opportunity for a bigger role. Steele did not see game action during the 2025 season, using the year to develop within Troy’s system. Now, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound safety heads into fall camp with a strong high school résumé and the athletic profile to compete for snaps in the secondary and on special teams. At Bibb County High School, Steele was a two-way standout. Offensively, he caught 32 passes for 666 yards and 10 touchdowns while also adding a rushing score. Defensively, he was even more productive, finishing with 110 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and five interceptions. His performance earned him first-team all-region and all-area honors, along with a selection to play in the AHSAA All-Star Game. Steele was rated as a three-star prospect by On3 and 247Sports, while both services ranked him among the top 120 safeties nationally and among the top 40 players in Alabama. As a junior, he helped lead Bibb County to a region championship and a 10-2 record. A multi-sport athlete, Steele also competed in basketball and baseball, adding to the athleticism he brings to Troy’s defensive backfield. 2026 OUTLOOK After a full year of development, Steele now has the chance to compete for meaningful reps at safety. His combination of size, tackling production, ball skills and versatility makes him one of the younger defenders worth watching during fall camp. Keep an eye on Antonious Steele as he looks to make his move in Troy’s secondary this fall. ⚔️ #TroyFootball #TroyReport #OneTROY #BattleReady #FallCamp #SunBeltFB #AntoniousSteele

FALL CAMP | Day by Day. Rep by Rep. "The main goal for this fall camp is being consistent. Just being able to stack days on top of days and letting the outcome take care of itself." — Antonious Steele @_.vlon3ant Championships aren't built in one practice—they're built through consistency, discipline, and relentless effort every single day. The work is being put in now. The results will come later. #OneTROY #BattleReady #TroyFootball #FallCamp #StackDays #TrustTheProcess #SunBeltFootball #TroyReport #Consistency #BuiltDifferent
