A week of sisterhood, learning, leadership and unforgettable memories. From London to Atlanta, this trip showed us the power of Black girls coming together, dreaming bigger and creating change.

To our London and Atlanta girls, thank you for showing up with open hearts, sharing your experiences and building a sisterhood that continues one year later. Watching you learn from one another, use your voices and grow together was incredibly special.

A huge thank you to @wearedouglass, @fantasyimages , @_88vintage , @patchwerkstudio, @cityofatlantaga and @juvenis_youth for believing in our vision and supporting our girls across the UK and USA.

This trip will always hold a special place in the MHB story 🐝💙💛

MHB TAKES ATL: ONE YEAR ON 🇬🇧✈️🇺🇸🐝

We cannot believe it has already been one whole year since MHB took ATL for our H.E.R Development Programme!

We travelled to Atlanta with eight girls from Milk Honey Bees to finally meet our amazing ATL cohort in person. After beginning their journey online, the trip brought both groups together to explore development, leadership and social justice across the UK and US.

We began our Atlanta experience at @theapexmuseum, then visited the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and Dr King’s birth home learning more about his childhood, leadership and role in the Civil Rights Movement.

🐝“H.E.R Development Programme has helped me become more resilient and open minded. I got to meet Black girls who look like me, build real connections, and grow more confident in myself and my future” - Terriuna 🇺🇸

🐝“MHB has shown me what’s possible. It’s given me confidence to step into leadership roles, embrace new opportunities and confidently use my voice in ways I never thought I would, while continuing to grow through mentorship myself” - Natoya 🇬🇧

One year later, our connection is still strong. Our MHB ATL girls are preparing to begin their senior year, while our London girls are getting ready to embark on university journeys and exciting new career opportunities.

Together we have created a sisterhood, memories and a community that continues to grow across borders 🇬🇧✈️🇺🇸🐝

Watching the @growyourworldinc Youth Audio Collective bring the curriculum to life — from their ideas to their songs to their growing confidence — is exactly why we remain committed to empowering and educating our community.

On Day 4, students dove into entrepreneurship and the business side of the music industry. They explored the team roles that support an artist and even developed full marketing plans for their own music.

These kids showed up ready to learn, ready to create, and ready to believe in themselves. We are deeply grateful for every student, every parent, and every moment of magic that happens within our studio walls.

This is just the beginning.
The future is bright, and we look forward to continuing to pour into the next generation of young creators. ✨
