EYIF 2025 - The Story I Must Tell Most people go to events, take selfies, tag the sponsors, and keep it moving. But not me. I’m not most people. Because what happened behind the scenes at EYIF 2025 deserves to be told. So walk with me. It started with a phone call. Out of nowhere, my guy hits me up, “Guy, enter this call now.” No context. Just urgency 😭 I click the link. I enter the meeting. I see faces I know. Ecosystem guys. Solid people. And then @grantcorp pulls up. Calm. Sharp. He starts speaking and I just knew— This one no be regular. That’s how I found myself designing for @edoyif , the same event powered by Edo State Government, the one the whole timeline has been talking about. From that moment, life switched. Sir Efosa would literally call me by 1am, 3am 😩 “My guy do am now, abeg.” 😭😭😭 Some days, I was in two places at once — tweaking designs, doing mockups from my phone in one hand, power bank in the other. I was designing like I was being chased 😭 But I kept going. A day to the event, we slept at Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub. No mattress. Just stress and purpose. I was creating tag designs We started punching holes and arranging lanyards on the floor, past midnight. No sleep. Just energy. Just fire. That same night, I had to send screen-size designs to @daz_shot_it_001 so they could animate before the show started. Still made sure everything was top-tier. Even on the morning of the event, I was still designing. Imagine finishing up work while people are already arriving 😂 But guess what? We delivered. I met people I had only seen online—@kagantech , @yanmo_o , @jimahmjay7 , @kizito29 ... I sat close to SSAs, founders, gov officials. But even with all the big names and flashing lights, I just kept thinking: Wow. From one random call… to all of this. I’m not going to lie, there were moments I wanted to give up. Body don tire. Mind wan choke. I wanted to say, “Make una wait first, I need to breathe.” But I held on. And when I finally saw the stage, the tags, the screens, the branding, the prints and saw people taking pictures with the work I suffered for I smiled. I smiled because we did it. Now bring work come, we're open!💪🔥
