OCD: Ooze. Curl. Dive. 

Layers of sound ooze into the room, thick and slow, softening edges and blurring everything that came before. Basslines curl around bodies and walls, tracing patient arcs through sweat and smoke until the whole space leans forward as one.

 At the point where motion and melody lock, you let go.  The last hesitation slips and you dive past the surface, past the frame of the night, into a depth where time loosens, light bends and nothing exists but the pull of the next track.

❗UPD: EVENT CANCELLED ❗
@studio.db.berlin wanted to host a concert of 🇷🇺 artist. We, German and Ukrainian art, music, and club scene, are deeply concerned by Studio dB’s decision to host 🇷🇺 artist who has not publicly condemned russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
While an ongoing genocidal war, this decision is not neutral - it is complicit. Ignoring russia’s war is a silent permission and normalization of aggression that has already taken thousands of civilian lives, destroyed cities, kidnapped children, tortured POWs, and continues to bear the marks of genocide against Ukrainians.
Studio dB publicly positions itself as a space of solidarity and artistic freedom. Yet inviting an artist who keeps performing in 🇷🇺 and has made no clear, public statement in support of 🇺🇦 directly contradicts those values.
We have analyzed this artist’s public presence and found no condemnation of russia’s war. Any excuse for this silence cannot outweigh the danger faced daily by our loved ones under shelling. Ukrainian musicians, artists, and producers are defending 🇺🇦 from russia’s army, which continues to attack our sovereign land. Hundreds of our colleagues have been killed protecting not only Ukraine’s freedom but also 🇪🇺 security - the very thing 🇷🇺 propaganda threatens openly.
Support for Ukraine must be public, transparent, and concrete. Artists who ignore war crimes become complicit in their normalization and should not be given platforms in Berlin or anywhere in Europe.
Culture cannot stay neutral in the face of genocide. Art either stands with human rights or becomes a tool to whitewash the aggressor and silence the ongoing crimes and atrocities that go on and move closer to the borders of the European Union every day.
We demand a public statement from the artist clearly acknowledging that russia is the aggressor, and that 🇷🇺 army must leave Ukraine immediately.
We also demand the artist’s 💵 from this concert, in case it takes place, to be donated to 🇺🇦 initiatives like Musicians Defend Ukraine foundation supporting our colleagues from the art scene who are defending us.

• if you're going through hell, keep partying or the unbearable lightness of being interpassive • it's really hard to argue with #everythingshesaid, but:

for instance.

on July 28, the queue to the local club "that doesn't exist" was twice as long the rally for Olenivka Massacre's anniversary near the russian Embassy in Kyiv. (it appears that there were mostly relatives and comrades of the fallen heroes, and some few local journalists. all these celebrities and micro influencers were not noticed there (exception is @thekomakoma).

the current "resistance" of the vast majority of Ukrainians is reduced to occasional reposts of fundraisers and fierce disputes about the right of women not to shave their bodies.

"I'm tired of war" is a common sentiment, and representatives of Ukrainian #cognitariat prefer the personal comfort of participating in projects with momentous impact.

Pareto principle also works with volunteers, both foreign and Ukrainian - many of them are unlikely to "volunteer" anonymously and for free (sad but proven). even when it comes to vital and highly relevant benevolent projects, self-promotion and self-interest prevail in impressive ratio. unfortunately.

war becomes the lot of overwhelming minority, once again, we have already been "there"

but the attitude of such enthusiasts allows us to keep sane. the hope is still around thanks to their activity.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with this feasting, even in a time of apocalypse. as all the more so with all these "holy wars" on the phantom fields of body positivity. we are concerned only with the balance, which seems to be irreversibly disrupted.

and the time is obviously not on our side. to say the least.
