Newburgh Open Studios is proud to present Art that belongs in a cave , the works of Imar Lawson.

An artist originally born in the Bronx and now lives in Newburgh. Art has always been a big part of my life growing up in the city and seeing subway carts and walls littered with Art. Seeing that Art motivated me to put it on canvas.

🌈 ⚽️What’s Up Newburgh: Thursday Around Town 🌈⚽️

The weekend is almost here, and Thursday is a great day to get out and explore the City of Newburgh. Stop by a local café, browse a neighborhood shop, visit the library, check out an art space, or make time for a wellness class before the busy weekend begins.

Downtown Newburgh continues to thrive thanks to the small businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, and community members who keep our city vibrant and welcoming. Every coffee order, class sign-up, meal, and small purchase helps support the people and places that make Newburgh unique.

🌈 Pride Month is still going strong, with celebrations, performances, fundraisers, and community gatherings taking place throughout Newburgh and the Hudson Valley. It’s a great time to support LGBTQ+ artists, businesses, and organizations while celebrating love, inclusion, and self-expression.

⚽ World Cup matches continue today, giving soccer fans another reason to gather with friends and cheer on their favorite teams at local restaurants, breweries, and cafés showing the games.

Be sure to check directly with each venue for the latest updates, as some events, workshops, classes, Pride celebrations, and weekend activities may require advanced registration or tickets.

Newburgh Open Studios is proud to present the acrylic cartoon style art of Cavemonkey Lawson.

A lot of the times, we as humans focus on the differences between each other. In reality we all have so much in common with each other.
