Breast cancer may be part of their story, but it is not the whole story. 🎀

For two unforgettable days, we had the honor of pouring into four incredible women at different stages of their breast cancer journeys celebrating their strength, their stories, and the people who have stood beside them. 🩷

And this is only the beginning. Over the next few weeks, you’ll meet each of them and hear their stories in their own words. For now, meet the women behind the pink

Black Girl Fit, EPIC FIT FEST 2026! 🖤✨
•
I almost didn’t go because I HATE missing my babies’ football games 😭🏈, but my twin got me OUTSIDE and I’m so glad she did!

The 2026 Black Girl Fit Epic Fit Fest was a whole VIBE! The workouts, the panel, the vendors, the energy, the sisterhood… ALL OF IT. And being surrounded by so many beautiful Black women intentionally pouring back into themselves?! 🥹💕 I loved every minute.

As a wife + mama of 3, I stay on GO and sometimes forget that I deserve to stop and pour back into ME too.

10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be back next year… just make mine VIP! 😂💅🏾

POV: Answering the real questions about women starting fitness journeys.

I was recently a guest on the BGV Conversations podcast with Black Girl Vitamins, and the host Ladaya, asked me a great question: Why does taking the first step on a fitness journey feel so difficult for women?

It usually comes down to old stigmas and lack of education. Some women hesitate to start because they think that if they strength train, they’ll get too big and won’t look feminine.

Let’s clear this up: that is a myth. You don’t accidentally wake up bulky.

The truth is, everyone has a completely different reason for starting:

🏋🏾‍♂️Some want to become bodybuilders.
🏃🏾‍♀️Some want to become functionally strong for every day life.
💪🏾 And some just want to be able to get out a chair without pain.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. This is exactly why personal trainers exist—we provide the education, erase the fear, and build a program geared precisely toward your specific goals. Whatever your “why” is, you don’t have to do it alone.
