Answered Prayers…

A journey that began 3 years ago.

We sold out twice (*plays sold out dates). First 154 tickets then we had to open up more because the love poured over. 207 tickets sold on the first screening day.

Thank you @matchouston . Your whole team that helped us put this together in the 2 weeks we had to curate my show. Immense gratitude!

My Houston folk showed out with love…

Amerikan Boy follows a young Nigerian immigrant navigating identity, masculinity, family pressure, and the desire to belong in America. The story is loosely based on personal experiences of Tobe Mokolo, a Nigerian who immigrated to America, specifically the southwest side of Houston, TX.

It took a lot to get here.
