KCDC Dancer’s Spotlight
Meet Gali…

What drew you to KCDC?
“I first discovered the company through a workshop at the studio where I grew up, Dance Academy, led by a former KCDC dancer. I remember being fascinated by the movement language and feeling like I had only gotten a small glimpse of something I wanted to understand more deeply.
Later that year, I joined the company’s summer course, where I learned different repertoire pieces and experienced Ga’aton for the first time. That’s where something really clicked for me. Beyond the dancing, there was something about the atmosphere of the kibbutz that felt deeply familiar and comforting. I grew up in a moshav, so the quietness, the simplicity, and the sense of community immediately felt like home to me.
At the same time, I was incredibly drawn to the physicality of Rami’s work. His movement language felt so raw, demanding, and alive. It pushes you to your limits, both physically and mentally, but there’s something very powerful about that feeling. I think I was drawn not only to the challenge itself, but also to the way it makes you discover new strengths within yourself. From that point on, I knew this was a place I wanted to return to.”
