Happy 23rd Birthday to our Abbs🤍
Another year older and what a year it has been. I cant help but get emotional writing this. Partly because I definitely have not worked through the trauma😬 😂, but mostly because I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the faithfulness of God.
This past year has reminded us that sometimes God’s faithfulness is seen not in one huge moment, but in a thousand perfectly timed little miracles. The right people, the right decisions, heaven-sent nurses and prayers answered in ways we didn’t even know we needed — and Jesus meeting us in every single moment.
Looking back now, we can see His hand over and over again. 🤍
Abbey we know how hard you had worked this past year — the discipline, sacrifice and determination — and we know just how much competing meant to you. Watching you navigate disappointment with such resilience and grace, while continuing to trust in Jesus even when things haven’t gone the way you had hoped, has literally blown our minds and there are not enough words for how proud we are of you.
Sometimes God’s plans look different from our own. We don’t always understand the detours or the disappointments while we’re walking through them, but we trust the One who does and you have shown this every day.
Abbs, we truly believe He has a bigger and better stage for you to step out onto and we can’t wait to see what He has in store for you in this next season.
We also know that not everyone gets the miracle we did, and I don’t ever want to lose sight of that. If this year has taught us anything, it is that life is incredibly precious, tomorrow is never promised, and every ordinary, simple day with the people we love is a gift.
Most of all, it has reminded us that whether we are standing on the mountaintop or walking through the valley, God is still God, and He is always good. 🤍
Happy birthday (week) Gail - we all love you ❤️
