_ BIO (en)
Rooted in Northeast Brazil and refined through six years in Lisbon’s underground, Markov crafts shadowy narratives anchored by a lifelong devotion to vinyl culture. His sonic signature spans a wide range, from dreamy to dark, where submerged dub atmospheres meet organic overtones and spooky details, creating forest-like moods of liquid tension that reward attentive listening.
As the founder of CULT and a key member of Angatu, Markov remains a dedicated seeker of the unpredictable, weaving a community around independent music through performances that are as exploratory as they are instinctively tied to the dancefloor.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the records I’ve released in the past year. Every track holds its own story, its own feeling, its own little world. It means a lot to know that these songs can connect with people in different ways and become part of their memories. Thank you to everyone who keeps believing in me. There is still music to come, and with it - more memories to be made ❤️

Angatu deserves a few words.

It’s honestly wild what can happen when people come together with heart and intention. What started with music has grown into a family, a label, a community and something that feels deeply real.

I’ll admit, I often feel conflicted when navigating the music world today all the ego, the noise, the bad side of it all. But then I look around and see the people I’m building this with, people grounded in honesty, collaboration, and love for the craft and then I remember why I’m here.

This is just the beginning.

You’ll hear a lot more about this community.

The party was a blast and the second release is out now give it a listen.

Much, much love.
💚

🐆 OUT NOW 🐆

🥈 For its second release, Angatu introduces two rising talents: Stckman, from the growing Lisbon scene, and T.C.M. (aka Brique) from France. Each presents tracks that showcase their unique soundscapes. Stckman delivers groovy bass lines infused with rich, organic textures, while T.C.M. brings darker, hypnotic vibes crafted through his hardware collection. [ANGATU002] has proven to be a powerful tool for the dancefloor.
