This past weekend, four of our brothers represented the Delta Tau Delta – Texas State chapter at Karnea, the fraternity’s biennial convention, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Our brothers had an incredible experience connecting with fellow Delt chapters, alumni, and members of the Nationals Team while representing Texas State University and our chapter. Karnea provided an opportunity to learn, grow as leaders, and strengthen the bonds that connect Delta Tau Delta brothers across the country.

We are especially proud to recognize our alumnus and very own House Corporation President Josh Schneider (Fall ’95), who was newly elected to the National Arch Chapter and inducted into the Distinguished Service Chapter, receiving an award for his outstanding service and contributions to Delta Tau Delta. Since our national founding in 1858, fewer than 500 fraternity men have been elected to the Distinguished Service Chapter, making this an incredible honor and a tremendous accomplishment for Josh and the Texas State chapter.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our Alumni Advisors: Crane Sorensen (Fall ‘03) and Brett Schulle (Fall ‘86) for their support and guidance this weekend. As well as all the alumni and brothers whose generosity, support, and dedication made it possible for our four brothers to attend Karnea. Opportunities like this would not be possible without the continued investment of those who believe in the future of our chapter and the men who will lead it. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this experience possible and for the continued support of our brotherhood.

We look forward to bringing what we learned at Karnea back to San Marcos and continuing to build on the legacy of Delta Tau Delta at Texas State.
