1 year down, forever to go🥂🎉

Thank you for always listening, understanding and loving me. We complement each other so well, there’s no doubt in my mind that we’re meant to be together. You make me want to better myself in every possible way and for a cherry on top you matcha my silly side lol. It’s truly a privilege to be by your side❤️💯

I had the honor of hosting the 2nd Magazine launch of @empwrmagazineofficial for the second year in the row AND coordinate the cultural fashion show with my runway design of the female gender symbol. It’s always lovely working with Taylor @thefineshine and I am inspired by her deep love for storytelling and amplifying women of color’s voices because they in fact need to be heard.

Thank you to every model for strutting their stuff, vendor, my fav venue @611_westphiladelphia , sponsor, partner, volunteer etc for having a hand in this event. I love partnering up with brands like this one who are making stances in the industry.

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to support the release yesterday!🩷💐

I have put my all into this for the past couple of months and to see it all come together means the world! The energy in the room is something I can barely even use my words to describe. From the nurturing and warmly vibes while getting ready with all the models and makeup + hair team. To the support from each and every guest it truly made my whole night. I am so honored to have people who believe not only in me but this magazine and what it stands for. This is only the beginning so stay tuned as there is always more to come! Thank you to the models, makeup + hair team, designers, the wonderful host, amazing event coordinator/pa, family, vendors, press, volunteers and our supporters. I would have been able any of this without you all!

If you didn’t get a copy and still want one please DM me!🩷

*p.s. I cried sooo many times because of all the love you all mean the world to me*

horizontal appreciation

I’m sure I’m not the only one but, I often have to remind myself to take horizontal photos. To me they carry a different perspective that feels timeless and cinematic.

I feel like they can get overlooked because most of the content we take in now is vertical and short, 15 to 30 seconds. I think landscape compositions can offer a needed break from the seemingly never ending surge of short form content.

I like to think of it as if I was sitting down and watch a movie after a long day🍿

in the current rotation is finally back! time was needed to step back and really focus on how music was showing up in this season of life for me. the whole point of this series is to explore the common themes in music across genres and start a conversation.

for this edition, the focus is on stability, digging deeper within self, and taking your time. these themes i find show up in everyone lives at some point in their personal journeys. i love how certain messages are carried across various bodies of work in different ways.
