A lighting breakdown from the Hot Crispy Oil shoot.
We added a single hard spotlight to build depth and separation between the product and the background, keeping the ingredients just barely in the light. Because the plan was to mask both products in post, we needed movement that was precise and repeatable. That’s where the @edelkrone HeadONE earned its place on set.
Lighting isn’t decoration. It’s the first decision that makes everything in post possible.

Sometimes the weather decides what kind of shoot you’re making. Cloudy skies, a cold breeze, a bounce when we needed a little more shape.
The @justinalexander team showed up sharp, prepped, and unbothered by the cold. Easiest “yes” of the year.

Color grade and chill if you got 30 seconds 🤧 (ignore the posture)

This is how a Saturday night looks sometimes.
Raw footage → final grade.

Been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. Since my last post I won a shuriken in Japan. Went to Chicago and Nashville. Was at Big bear for Octoberfest, NYC for a Yankees game (waited thru a 3 hour rain, just for them to lose 4-1 💀), left my Culver City apartment, had a Star Wars themed bday party at my new home. Went to Warp Tour and my family won a turkey on Thanksgiving by playing trivia. Amongst other things.
