9 months without my mommy, 3 years without my cousin. 🕊️🤍 Grief has changed so much about me, especially the way I choose to live. Here’s what matters to me now.

delayed does not mean denied, if I haven’t learned anything else it’s that where there is a will there’s a way… just keep going 🖤🩺

Happy first heavenly birthday, Mommy. 🤍
For the first time in my life, I have to celebrate your birthday somewhere I can’t reach you. People say time heals, but I don’t think that’s true. I think time just teaches you how to carry what hurts. You’ve been gone since January, and somehow the world has kept moving while a part of mine has stood completely still. You weren’t just my mom. You were my heart walking around outside of my body. My best friend, my safe place, my voice of reason, and the person I could call about absolutely nothing and somehow hang up feeling better.I hope heaven made today as beautiful as you deserve, and somehow you can feel all the love I’m sending up to you. I loved you before I understood what love was. I love you now in your absence and I’ll love you for every single day I have left here until, God willing, I get to see you again. Happy birthday, Ma. I miss you more than words will ever be able to hold. 🎈🤍

Forever your Lady Bug.
Forever my Mommy.
Forever my heart, my home.
