Last Friday, the Lasu SDG Youth Club wrapped up its three-day training for prospective members, which began on January 15 and ran through January 17, 2025.

As a club dedicated to promoting sustainable development goals at Lagos State University @lasuofficialpage , we had an increase in the number of students who applied to join the club and be trained on the SDGs across the three LASU campuses.

The training was successfully led by a committee of some our members chaired by Amb. David Akinwunmi, Vice President of the Ojo campus. The first two days of the training were held virtually, and speakers who are making strides in their sustainability careers educated the applicants on what the SDGs are.

On the third and final day of their training, Friday, which also served as the club's physical meeting, the applicants were officially introduced to the club's executive board and met with some of our members. Mr Ndigwe Chukwuma @__chukwuma_, the recycling team lead at @gzi__nigeria, West Africa's largest manufacturer of aluminium beverage cans, held an informative session with our applicants and members.

Our applicants took virtual tests to test their knowledge of the SDGs. We are excited to begin onboarding our new members.

Last year September, I got a fully funded 4-year PhD scholarship with generous stipends at Queen Mary university of London.
I was 35weeks pregnant at the time, I was just visiting my parents the day I got the email.
I thought it was a prank. I could not even remember when I applied. Pregnancy brain I guess 😂
I had so many emotions running through my mind. I was shocked, excited, confused because I was in the last weeks of my pregnancy and tbh, traveling out of Nigeria was the last thing on my mind. The school expected me to show up almost immediately lastest in 3 months but I knew in my spirit that it won't be possible. I had planned to give birth around family and I could not give birth and then start packing a bag to travel.
After much praying and consultation, I emailed the scholarship team that I needed to stay and give birth and also rest because I can't come and dieded...I needed alot more time.
I remember my friend telling me ..SE you dey wine me, oga start moving 😂. TBH it's such a competitive award that if you slack it could go to someone else.
Two weeks after I got another email saying they would give me an entire year to give birth and get ready..that my scholarship will be preserved for me...Lol..still in awe at what God can do..NSPPD prayers work
it's been a crazy journey getting here but God kept taking care of everything.
Thanking my husband Dr TC for his amazing support..for making me apply in the first place ...love you so much baby..thanking my amazing family for their huge support.. thank you to my amazing girls Adesola, Odinaka, Ronke and Stellamama....love you guys to bits, my LBS family, my HOTR Abuja family..love you. What a year it's been🙌🙌💃💃!!!..#2020inpictures

Thank God for the year 2020...in the midst of the pandemic, the disruptions, the protests, tears, heart breaks and super crazy happenings...amazing things took place..

I got to spend time with my loved ones like never before..we were able to do things we always wanted to do together. I got to step up my skin care and hair routines...lol. I got to spend more time with God and add value to His kingdom. I got to discover myself more and launch new aspects of the multi dimensional flow of my person.

I got to meet the love of my life who happened to always be in my life. I rekindled friendships and sustained current ones. I got to experience new family achievements, Ekene's NYSC, Ify and Anyi's graduation, Chumas business growth.

I got to take advantage of new opportunities in my career and meet phenomenal people globally. I got to put my self out there in terms of my work and receive exceptional support. It was this year I discovered new mentors and role models such as DDK that brought about rapid execution of my goals and my work.

I can't say it all but I'm super thankful for Gods protection over my loved ones and friends and I'm super excited for what will be birthed in 2021!!!

Lauching Launching!!!! 🥂🎊🥂🎊🥂🎊🥂🎊 This post marks the launch of my flowers for photos (@flowers_for_photos ) where I create beautiful hand made flowers, flowers arrangements and pictures for your adverts, photoshoots, birthdays, weddings, pre-wedding photos and so on.

I was literally shaking with excitement as I was making the flowers, taking the pictures and editing them for you guys. I almost cried with joy. 😅😅

For those of you wondering where this is coming from..let me gist you. After joining the activation intensive family, joining the @immerseinner circle listening to @deboladejikurinmi, listening to @bodamtaiwo about the multi dimensional flow of my person, and having the most amazing accountability squad, shout out to @odinaka @Tobifusika @Bola, @eky.ndigwe ..and most importantly having the holy Spirit open my eyes..i realized that I dont have to be known for just one thing..gurll..you can do it all..trust me there is no going back on this one..this year has come with a burst of inspiration for me...and your minds will be blown.

Just trust me with your pictures that have my flowers in them and watch me create master pieces that will forever be cherished. 🌈🌈

It's official, I miss work @lbsnigeria and the sense of purpose it gave. I miss my work family and our multiple food breaks😄❤️, I miss picking out clothes every evening before the next day...I miss TGIF and spontaneous weekend get aways...
