You might forget the names of every road you drove.

You won’t forget how Namibia made you feel.

The silence at the top of a dune before sunrise.

The first glimpse of the desert stretching further than your brain can process.

The windows down on the Skeleton Coast. Dinner beneath a sky crowded with stars. Sand in places sand had absolutely no business being.

And the people beside you through all of it.

The ones who shared the long drives, changed tyres, passed snacks through car windows and laughed with you when the plan inevitably became something else entirely.

Namibia stays with you because it makes life feel enormous—and, somehow, beautifully simple.

Work during the week. Cross landscapes that look like another planet on the weekend. Come home with friendships that outlast the dust on your suitcase.

It isn’t only a place you remember.

It’s a feeling you spend years trying to explain.

There’s a reason Swakopmund is one of our highest-rated, most sought-after Chapters. 👀

This is where the desert becomes your playground.

Think towering dunes, sandboarding, 4x4 adventures, endless golden landscapes and weekends spent heading deeper into one of the most surreal corners of Namibia — all with the Atlantic sitting right beside you.

It’s wild, remote and completely unlike anywhere else we go.

And somehow, every time we come back, it becomes one of those Chapters people keep talking about long after it’s over.

Swakopmund is returning soon. 🏜️

And if you’ve been waiting for this one… you’ll want to move fast when it drops.

Comment “Swakopmund” if you want to be first to know when the Chapter goes live.

Rock pool. The Arch. Grasshoppers. Bushman’s paradise. Making lots of sandwiches. Riding outside the car. Pretty incredible night.

Supposedly this is the blackest sky in Namibia aka lots of stars. We had a cloudy (but still magical) night unfortunately, so will need to revisit. 🇳🇦

Spent my birthday in Swakopmund, Namibia this year to continue the tradition of February SUMMER birthdays.

What a rollercoaster of a day though.

Woke up an emotional mess because one of my favorite humans on the planet was scheduled to have surgery on my birthday. All I wanted to do was fly to the states to be closer to her. The universe had something else in mind though…

Instead, I had met 30 strangers no less than 9-11 days before my birthday. I believe they all saw me as a crying mess in that week and a half and yet — they showed up for me on the day I needed it. I thought I planned a low key last minute morning juice and walk with a couple of the girls to distract myself, but somehow ‘my plan’ turned into 25ish people surprising me at breakfast (some of which I had barely met & were probably confused why I was so emotional).

They checked in on me throughout the day, gave me my space when I needed it, walked with me to look for dolphins, drank Amarulla, kept me company, decorated my door, and showed up again late night on the roof with a cake so I could make a birthday wish (which was all I wanted on that particular day). They even sat on the roof in the cold with me until 2.30am when I got the text that the surgery was over (and successful).

I am grateful I met these people this particular year. Thank you to this Namibian magical crew for truly letting me be vulnerable and showing up.

And I’m grateful my birthday wish came true just 2 and half hours after I wished it.

Palmwag weekend. #namibianmagic #namibia
Standout moments included being introduced to @nomadhothouse & his love of Japanese music in the first car roulette, our first accidental safari with a giraffe, & a scenic drive where we saw springboks, steenbok, zebras, giraffes, oryx, and a jackal,
learning about the milk bushes as good places to pee behind but not to get poked by as the ‘milk’ is toxic
these orange & blue lizards & their bouncing
& obviously the stars
