Treated Matt to his first NFL game as an early birthday present. Got to see his Broncos make a comeback and pull off the win. Great day!

GE ‘26

I’m unbelievably grateful that this is the family I got to spend my rookie season of drum corps with. From pushing through reps on reps during 100+ degree rehearsals to all the free days exploring the niche wonders of Bako and the rest of California, it was such a uniquely beautiful experience and privilege to do it alongside some of the hardest working individuals yet simultaneously hilarious people I’ve met. This activity just brings people from all places and stories in such an amazing way and I wish the best to everyone’s journey going forward, both inside and outside the marching world.

Special thanks to the staff, notably Kenya, Peter, Sal, and Jimmie, for setting and pushing our standards and beliefs in ourselves. Much love to David for being the best section leader I’ve known yet. Firm daps to the battery and pit for the generational crankage we achieved together. The biggest shoutout for the GE Trap House for the memories I’ll have for the rest of my life long after this season. Last but not least, huge thanks to Edson and his dad for letting me carpool with them for auditions and camps to make this dream come true in the first place 🙏

W crank.

Golden Empire ‘26 will always hold a special place in my heart. The experience of learning how to overcome the physical and mental stress on the field and the reward of a good run will never be lost on me and I thank everyone who I can now call my family for accepting me.

To the friends I made this during this activity, thank you all for helping me push through this difficult but amazing activity and making me feel right at home with GE. I’m so excited to see where you all go with the next DCI/WGI seasons, all of you are so amazingly talented and I wish I could march with you all again!

To the amazing staff, thank you all for accepting me, giving me a shot to experience what Drum Corp is like, and the many laughs during rehearsals and tour. Thank you for all of the wisdom and lessons you’ve shared in both music and life.

And lastly to my friends apart of Golden Bass, thank you guys for letting me lead you through yours and mine Rookie Season. I am so proud of the season we had and how hard we all worked to put this show on the field. I know for a fact I’ll be seeing you guys throw down again on the field next summer and I’m so excited to see what you guys will all achieve.

If I could turn back time I’d do it all over again😔✋🏻
